Afterdream

Masterpiece.

Now this is a point-and-click that anyone can enjoy. The items are collected sequentially and they all serve a purpose, the levels are easily explorable, and the riddles are self-contained, with visual and audio hints, rewarding a keen eye -but not pixel hunting- and good feedback from NPCs. The story is entertaining and even if the game is not long, it is a nice, spooky short story.

I really enjoyed this, short, sweet, but with a lot of good vibes and endearing atmosphere. I loved the symbolism and character interactions, I kind of wish it took more time to build up the horror elements, but overall I think it told the story it wanted to, and didn't convolute it with extra themes or explanations that would've complicated the narrative focus and experience. I really enjoyed this, pick it up if you're looking for something short that'll stick with you all the same

Amazing game! Simple and fun controls, and a gripping story. It’s about family and love, about repentance and courage. Among many games, it’s truly one of a kind, and the developers put a lot of heart into giving players an awesome game.

I hate to leave a bad review, but it's just not worth the $5 I paid for it. Thank goodness I didn't pay the full price. It's basically a horror light mystery game with very simple puzzles. There isn't much thinking involved with them, if you've played any Silent Hill or Resident Evil you'll see the influence right away. Solving stuff becomes so repetitive so quickly that you realize you just walk around mashing A or taking a picture and you'll get it. They lose their fun even in it's short run time. The ghosts aren't scary because they tell you almost from the start that they aren't a threat. The story is very heavy handed and leaves no question to as what it's trying to say. I'm sorry, but nice art doesn't make a game fun.

A neat little game, took some time to get around playing this but I'm glad I have. There were some genuine cool moments that stepped out of the usual for this game's design and layout that caught me off guard (i.e. the hole crawling), I liked the camera mechanic even if something like this has been done before. Its a bit all over the place plot wise but its also a bit of a sweet and simple game to follow. The puzzles are decent and the horror is at times effective despite the art style not being my favorite. If you're someone who's stuck on knowing what to play next, give a shot at this if you're willing to spend 10 dollars (even though I was gifted this by a good friend for my birthday) Indie games and it's devs are important at this time in gaming.
