Cattle Country

Love the theme, and plentiful maps for foraging. Great little game, unlike its competitors of this genre, it is unique in quite a few ways. Including weapon choices, the way you fish, the country theme, and more. I love it.

So much fun, if you like Stardew Valley you'll love Cattle Country! It is so much fun and has so many things to do. I highly recommend it!

Stunning game built with love. Runs bootiful on ye old Steam Deck. I highly recommend lassoing this one. I tip my ten gallon hat to the dev this is an absolute gem❤️🫶🏻👍🏻🤠 10 out of 10!!!.

I've described this as a Yeehaw Stardew. It takes the spirit of the foundation of Stardew Valley (Story of Seasons/Harvest Moon) and improves upon what ConcernedApe did with the genre. Lots of wonderful QoL features, balanced gameplay, enough stuff to keep you busy for at least an entire year (I didn't 100% it but I got halfway through Spring year 2 which is longer than I play most of the "stardew clones" including Stardew itself) Only negative is that it did have me talkin like a cowboy for the duration and that annoyed my SO a bit but I reckon 's fine.

I've experienced a few crashes, in a game where you can only save at the end of the day when going to sleep this is very very frustrating. Hopefully this gets resolved quickly. I wish time were configurable, it goes by too fast for my tastes. Items that drop on the ground disappear after about 15 seconds. This can be very frustrating, as sometimes when I've found something nice I've have to decide in this very short time frame what to delete from inventory, or just let the item disappear, leading to rushed decisions and... frustration. NPCs are ok, pretty limited. The town is nice enough to support the foci which are farming, mining, crafting, etc. These the game does well overall, the controls, progression, and game loop overall make this an engaging and enjoyable cozy game. I began playing the game and initially wrote this after yet a third crash cost me another chunk of play time. So... I can't recommend right now, hopefully whatever is causing this gets resolved.
