About 108 Silly Ways to Die
Greetings, everyone! Welcome to "Mike's Movie Corner" Today, we're spotlighting the chilling live-action FMV game "108 Silly Ways to Die." Our hero, The Man (a.k.a. Cai Chen), is an average college student with an extraordinary stroke of luck. He's arranged a meet-up with a female online acquaintance from his school, a rendezvous that feels like hitting the jackpot. But the meeting spot is anything but ordinary—it's an old, deserted medical college. Seizing the opportunity, The Man hurries there with a spring in his step.Upon arrival, The Man quickly identifies The Woman, the object of his daydreams, among a group of peculiar individuals. Suddenly, she drags him into a dilapidated building.Inside, the scene is far from ordinary. The place is littered with eerie bloodstains and repulsive corpse worms. Oddly, The Woman seems unfazed by it all, while The Man is on the brink of madness, constantly challenging her with questions and arguments. Their bickering along the way inadvertently provokes the seemingly harmless zombies lurking in the shadows. In the FMV genre, this is the game with the highest level of difficulty. You will embark on an adventure in an unfamiliar environment with strange companions. To survive, you must carefully make every choice! Of course, death is a common occurrence in the game. By collecting all 108 ways to die, you can become a true artist of death. An abandoned building, dark and eerie, filled with peculiar medical equipment, and you, armed with just a flashlight! Stay vigilant of your surroundings, as numerous zombies are lurking about! It's perilous here, remember, you can afford to die, but not the lady. Make your choices wisely.
While the game is terrifying, the plot also incorporates a lot of funny moments, and we believe this will be a relaxing adventure! When encountering zombies, stay calm and use your humor to defuse the situation.
When you feel that the game cannot be completed in one go, we strongly recommend that you just give up on trying to be perfect! It doesn't matter where the end of the mystery lies, it doesn't matter how the zombies originated, and it doesn't matter what the true identity of the girl traveling with you is.

this game is so funny4 found this helpful
I'm playing Steam games in alphabetical order and you can watch my review here: https://youtu.be/fz3LqVl5l0g Prefer to read? 108 Silly Ways to Die is a Chinese FMV that is playable with English subtitles, following the story of a young man agrees to go on an urban exploration date with one of three protagonists, only to end up locked inside an abandoned hospital filled with zombies. Everything is very cheesy B-movie style with wooden acting, illogical choices, and scenes that exist only to put various fetishes front and centre. There's some humour here but much of it is lost in translation, or completely lost thanks to missing subtitles. While most choices can be made correctly with a bit of guesswork, many are a just a coinflip - usually resulting in an overly long death animation. The branching story is thankfully easy to navigate, and a single playthrough takes about 1-2 hours - but it's a cringe fest from start to finish, even though they make attempts at having some semblance of a narrative thread behind the scenes. Unless you're a die hard FMV fan or fell in love with one of the characters the moment you saw the trailer, I'd give this one a miss.3 found this helpful
Not bad it is worth a try for some inventive plot lines. Yes you will die a lot as the title indicates. Choose from three female companions. I have played through with one companion and she is quite attractive. Good enough game. Would be better if it is longer1 found this helpful
108 Silly Ways to Die is a cheap, repetitive live-action FMV game that mistakes random, unavoidable deaths for engaging gameplay. The game's core loop is not "silly" or fun, but just painfully cheap. You walk through linear hallways in a first-person perspective, choosing from one of about two or three options until a trap or zombie inevitably kills you. There's no real thrill or clever puzzle to solve, just the same outcome over and over, which kills any interest almost immediately. The story and characters are a complete afterthought. The plot is a chaotic mess of awkward dialogue, weird tonal shifts, and zero coherent narrative payoffs, built on a "mystery" that is clearly just a device to justify the sequence of goofy deaths. Worst of all, the production quality is shockingly low. The whole game feels like it was made in a single weekend with a smartphone, one set and a whole lot of waste of medical equipment. In short: Don't waste your money. The title is not just silly—it's a sad, tedious, and utterly forgettable experience.1 found this helpful
The only bad thing about this game is that the translations to English are a bit confusing. Other than that, this is brilliant. Funny, doesn't take itself too seriously. So many choices to make, but easy to go back if you make the wrong one - and if you do make the wrong one, you get an achievement. And of course, the girls are really attractive!
108 Silly Ways to Die developed by SEED Studio and published by Liquid Meow is a hybrid interactive horror experience that blends visual novel storytelling with full-motion video sequences and branching decision paths. At first glance, its title suggests slapstick absurdity, but the tone quickly reveals a darker core beneath the humor. The narrative follows Cai Chen, a college student whose ordinary meeting at an abandoned medical campus spirals into a surreal and dangerous ordeal filled with grotesque imagery, psychological tension, and an unsettling atmosphere. The structure of the game leans heavily on cinematic presentation. Live-action footage intertwines with interactive dialogue choices, creating an experience that feels closer to a psychological thriller film than a traditional RPG or adventure game. Rather than exploring open environments or engaging in combat, players advance the story by making critical decisions at key moments. These choices influence both the direction of the narrative and the fate of the protagonist, leading to a wide range of possible outcomes. The emphasis is not on mechanical complexity but on consequence and curiosity. A defining feature of the …
