It might look like a mobile game, but it's different than the typical M3 fare. The 100 levels are arranged in small batches where each group of levels has a different twist to it. There are getting things to the bottom of levels, clearing an amount of tiles, gathering X number of objects, puzzles where you must remove all the tiles in a set amount of moves, boss battles, and variations of manipulating items to get a goal accomplished. If you don't want to use powerups (which also work differently than the usual things seen in M3s), you need to be good at swapping strategically to move target items. In between levels, there's games within the game. One is answering trivia questions as a part of the storyline to boost your battle skills, and the other is playing "9th Corpse", which is a mix of HOS and 2 different Tetris variants. The "9th Corpse" game actually goes on for several levels of its own when you get to a section of it before you get back to the main game. The mechanics can take a bit of getting used to, and it's an untimed, unlimited moves game, although you earn extra stars for beating a level in less than a target number of moves and for not using powerups. I recommend this game mostly if you like match 3 games, as there're way more of that than HOG scenes. The background story is... passable. Though there are way more match 3 games than others, it was nice to switch to other types of games present in it from time to time to diversify a little. The different games weren't that hard, but the general knowledge questions were tricky, didn't expect such questions at all, haha. Well, overall I played it to the end, so I won't say it's bad, but there surely are better games available out there. Wish there was a neutral option for this.1 found this helpful
Slop I probably got for a dollar or two from a bundle, which is about what this is worth. Somehow this was a post 2020 release; if you quizzed me on its release date, i'd assume this was a ~2007 game.
I mean it's all in the steam cover image really.. because what you see is what you get. Incredibly dull story. The visuals are a mixed bag.. a "clip-art clash" if there ever was one. The gameplay.. well the games are functional and mildly entertaining. Perhaps if the story wasn't so sleep inducing and there were achievements I'd see it through to the end. By level 20 I could feel myself becoming the 11th corpse.. time to move on. 4/10.
I am a bit of a ♥♥♥♥♥ for match 3 games. I will play them regardless of theme. I have easter themed match 3 games. I have horror themed match 3 games. I have porn themed match 3 games. They help me zone out and are essential to my mental health. This is probably the worst I have played. The gravity is wrong. Pieces either don't fall, or don't fall as they should. Some of the missions take aeons to finish due to bad level design. I find myself actively not playing this despite trying to finish all the match 3s I buy. Don't buy this.
