40 Winks is an action platformer where you control brother and sister, Ruff and Tumble. Your goal is to collect 40 Winks scattered around the world to stop an evil man called Nitekap. Nitekap wants to turn the winks into hood-winks who are responsible for giving children nightmares.

I first heard of 40 Winks from... a YouTube video, I think, of a Kickstarter campaign for a never-before-released Nintendo 64 edition of the game which released one year later. And a couple more years after that, a canceled Game Boy Color version was discovered. But how well does the PS1 version hold up emulated on PC? Well, keep your eyes open, and I'll tell you. 40 Winks focuses on two siblings, Ruff and Tumble, who travel across several different dream worlds in their sleep to rescue a bunch of little creatures known as "Winks," hence the game's title, who are responsible for ensuring peaceful, happy dreams for children. Holding them captive is the antagonistic insomniac, NiteKap, his sidekick teddy, Threadbear, and an army of nightmare-inducing "Hoodwinks," amongst several other enemies. You'll have to collect plenty of golden "Zs" for health during the adventure, to ensure you don't get beaten and wake up. And throughout each level, there are also several Jack-in-the-Boxes which provide temporary power-up costumes, such as a magic jester, a strong caveman, a missile-firing robot mech, and others, depending on which sibling you play as. This is literally an emulated version from playstation 1, it is not the PC version, I guess it does not exist on PC, the graphics look exactly like the PS1 version, it controls exactly like the PS1 and has awful camera angles like the PS1 version, if you want an improved version then emulate it and set higher settings, might be a better way to experience this. I honestly do not mind playing it as it was meant to be. This game is a mix of Medievil and Mario 64, basically another one of those Mario 64 clones from the era but with more cartoonish elements Medievil style. Not a bad game not a great game I got it on discount, at full price it is not worth, but for 3 bucks it's fine

Inputs are mapped weirdly, make zero sense, and are half-working. Just emulate it,.
