Agent Fall

Fun little run & gun with a good sense of humor and tight controls, and really what more could you ask for? It's not going to set your world on fire, it is a 5 dollar game that goes for $3.50 on sale so that's what we're working with here, yet this game exceeds those meager expectations. The first level is a bit of a bore but things ramp up quickly -- elevator level, sewer level, dirt bike level -- hell yeah! Now that's a 1-2-3 punch. Your character even quips when climbing down into the sewer, "Sewer level? Isn't that a bit cliche?" or something like that. Only 45 minutes from start to finish, but 45-75 minutes is the standard run time for all those classic arcade beat 'em ups and run & guns for good reason. However this game will save your progress, you don't have to do it all in one run.

Short and Sweet Agent Fall is just one of those indie games you just can't hate. Whole games about 30 to 45 mins long and i have no problem with that. It was going for that retro feel and they nailed it. Gorgeous sprite work and the gameplay is great, pulling from the likes of Metal Slug and Contra... no crotch button though. I like that went for that 80's and 90's design where the game maybe less then a hour long but it's difficulty pads out the time. Grabbed it on sale for 2.50$ well worth it. Overall Score 7/10 [Graphics = 20/20. Gameplay = 15/20. Music =15/20. Story = 10/20. Replayability = 15/20.]

It feels like I'm playing Metal Slug back in the days... so fun!!

It reminded me of Contra. I really liked it.

It's short, but crafted to perfection. What an incredible game. It made me feel like a kid playing Metal Slug for the first time. Truly impressive, and now I just want more!
