About ALFRED IS A BAD GUY

ALFRED is a BAD GUY is a board game for 4 to 8 players in which you have to team up to defeat the Boss of the board in a dice duel. But beware: some players won't have the same objective as others. Secret roles are assigned at the start of the game, dividing players into 2 teams. The good guys, whose aim is to defeat the Boss, and the bad guys, whose aim is to keep the Boss alive and eliminate the good guys.

To achieve your goals, you'll need to roll dice to scour the board for items, bonuses and extra dice. You'll start the game with a 6-sided die, while the Boss will have a 100-sided one. You'll need to move around the board to find the bonus squares you need to better equip yourself before facing your opponents.

The Boss is accompanied by 4 lieutenants who give him bonuses and strengthen him. But he can also count on the players who will take on one of the bad guy roles, among them:
- The Reaper, who will cut off the heads of pawns who talk too much.
- The Puppeteer, who will take control of another pawn and do whatever he likes with it.
- Marc, who will mark your dice to make them explode in front of the Boss.

The good guys won't be left out in the cold, either:
- The Hero, who will have a more powerful die for his fights.
- Urgle, who will defy death and make the Grim Reaper bow.
All other players will be Simple Pawns.

In short, gather your friends, log on to your favorite voice chat software, grab your dice and your investigative skills to find out who the bad guys are and defeat the Boss of ALFRED is a BAD GUY!

"ALFRED IS A BAD GUY" is an already dead "I can't believe it's not a mobile app" boardgame with a few gimmicks going on, none of them particularly good. I guess the best way to see this is as a kind of cross between Ludo and Mafia/Werewolf/Town of Salem, except even less popular than any of those. Being multiplayer only, there's only a few people playing a game of this every month, and it's only been out for a couple of months... the trajectory on player counts is straight through the floor. Crappy monetization, looking like a mobile app, weirdly convoluted yet also derivative gameplay are probably all reasonable causes for the failure of this train wreck. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly/cartoony mobile app style 3D visuals (some which look suspiciously like they're from an asset store like Suriyun packs or something) which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. On pricing and value for gamers, this isn't really free as the game is infested with mob…

Honestly really fun with friends, good concept for the impostor especially having different roles so its not super easy to figure out who it is. i would like to be able to tilt the camera up and down but its not a big deal. nice work!

ALFRED IS A BAD GUY is a really fun social deduction board game that I enjoyed because it mixes lying with dice based combat. I am part of a group trying to defeat a powerful Boss, but some players secretly have completely different goals and want to keep that Boss alive. I liked how quickly a normal looking board game can turn suspicious once I start wondering who is actually helping me. The dice system gives the matches a nice physical feeling even though everything happens digitally. I move around the board looking for items, bonuses and stronger dice, while preparing for the eventual confrontation with the Boss. I enjoyed having to balance exploration with preparation because wandering around too much can leave me underprepared, while rushing toward the final fight can expose me to unnecessary danger. The secret roles are easily my favorite mechanic. Different players can have special abilities that let them interfere with the good side in very different ways. That means I cannot simply judge someone by what they say they are doing. I have to watch their behavior, think about who benefits from each decision and sometimes accuse people even when I do not have complete proof. …
