What Steam players say

Players are divided on this RPG Maker game, with some praising it as a well-crafted retro JRPG experience, but others criticizing inconsistent writing, a protagonist who makes illogical decisions, a grindy combat system, and technical issues preventing the game from launching. A significant concern is the lack of development activity for years, with fans anxiously waiting for promised sequels with no updates on the project's status.

A well-made sci-fi/fantasy RPG reminiscent of the 16/32-bit era classic JRPGs.1 found this helpful
i cant start the game Why?
RPGMaker shovelware game. Don't waste your lifetime.
This game is bad on so many levels. The writing is consistently bad, the characters are weird (in a bad way) and the fight system is grindy. Our protagonist is adamant that he will not kill while we run around slaughtering monsters left and right. Saying the story is inconsistent isn't enough. Our protagonist knows something is wrong, ignores it and actively does THE WRONG THING for no reason at all. He doesn't do this once, but all the time. * aiding a fiend knowing that something is wrong * aiding a fanatic/terrorist * bringing everyone down with him (parents, love interest, classmates, ...) * doesn't know what he wants * doesn't question anything * ... The "love interest" Vanessa forces herself onto us while telling that we aren't the same guy she fell in love with. I don't know what the MC feels towards her because he gives mixed signals wherever he can. He has to protect her and wants to flee with her to have a family?!? But when she kisses him he wants to be just friends... Anyway the story makes no sense, the gameplay is a bog standard RPG without niceties, the controls are mediocre, the performance of the game is bad for what it is (it runs at a consistent 40FPS?), the wr…
I've been waiting for 6 years for part 3 to be released, I'd honestly be happy to see part 2 hit steam at this point. also... kindly, why has there been no activity anywhere regarding Alpha Kimori for 2 years? is Alpha Kimori even being worked on anymore? has the game been abandoned? this game was some of the most fun I had at the most crucial moments of my life, so I'd hate to see this game go under.
