About Yumeiri

One day, a mysterious package reaches the hero, who is harried by daily life as an adult.
Inside the package was a pillow-shaped machine and a letter asking for help.

Upon activating the pillow, the hero falls into a waking dream.
Forgotten memories from childhood...
Even these were but the opening act of the miracle about to begin.

After its release in 2015, Yumeiri received acclaim from game magazines, science fiction magazines, and mystery novel magazines.

With a very high difficulty, and it gave rise to not a few frustrated players.
At the same time, players who accepted its concept of "taming luck" were impressed as if personally reliving a dramatic life.

For the full-scale remake, all scenarios were rethought and some episodes were rewritten.

While the original was available only in Japanese, the game has now been produced with a full-scale English version.

✦ AI summary

Players praise this game's strong narrative and character development that carries a coming-of-age story with genuine emotional weight, complemented by charming artwork and solid music. The roguelike gameplay has a learning curve that some find frustrating without mid-chapter savepoints, though dedicated players report the difficulty becomes manageable and satisfying after the first chapter, with complaints mainly focused on inconsistent item drops and occasional story clarifications needed for different story paths.

For how much they're charging, this is a fine game The gameplay is nothing to go crazy over, and the artstyle might be a bit, adolescent to put it one way, but its overall presentation and story really carries it. It's really smart about how it presents its characters and their struggles, and it's somehow translated well for the most part. Starting off very innocent cutesie, it pulls you along a coming of age story that eventually leads to something that might explain why this game is rated 16+ in some places. And no, this isn't Undertale/Omori ending twist or anything where the conventions of the game are completely shattered for shock value. Not that those are bad, but it's nice to have a change of pace, which Yumeiri offers Also, if you're having trouble with the gameplay, try going backwards ;)

Please don't fight the bear. You're welcome to fight anything else -- snakes, programming languages, your Mother, even the literal DEMONS OF HELL. But please, don't fight the bear. Alternatively, believe in the power of love and friendship to protect you while you uppercut the bear into oblivion.

very nice,不过还是对剧情有很多疑问,选择玛琦后,为什么她会掉下另一个地狱,最后又变为茉理想起了主人公,导致结局是一致的。后来望实怎么了?玛琦怎么了?这和之前手机版的剧情不一样。

The true original roguelike

I love this game, it's adorable, I was very interested in the plot and enjoyed the combat as well - eventhough it was my first rougelike and it took me 6h to beat the first chapter -yeah, I had problems with the combat at the beginning, but don't give up if you struggle too - next 4 chapters took me 5 hours together. The game is cute, but not cheesy and obvious. The length of the game is not to long and not to short. The level of difficulty is also ok. It can be frustrating that there are no savepoints in the chapters (only between them), but that's also the charm of the game. And the satisfaction after finishing each chapter is huge. I felt like the items were appearing quite randomly - but that's also the charm. I love the music as well, really. I'm sure I will replay it soon - I'm courious of the other ending, I wonder what will change if I picked other dialog options. It was fun to play it, and it was also moving. And I also learned something. Thank you <3 I need more games like this one in my life.
