Annie and the Art Gallery

Like, literally, the inspirations from [url=store.steampowered.com/app/1511270/Ann/]Ann[/url] are even in the name of this game itself ([url=store.steampowered.com/app/1511270/Ann/]Ann[/url]ie and the Art Gallery). Some could even call this an [url=store.steampowered.com/app/1511270/Ann/]Ann[/url] rip-off. But, just because this game isn't as good as [url=store.steampowered.com/app/1511270/Ann/]Ann[/url], doesn't mean it's bad. I remember having a good time with it. And I like the artstyle, with the heavy lines. P.S.: I haven't mentioned [url=store.steampowered.com/app/1511270/Ann/]Ann[/url] enough, so here's one more mention.

I started playing this game in August 2022. I played Chapter 1, and thought, "Yeah... that was okay. I've seen a bunch of games likes it before, though. It seems kind of boring." I didn't touch the game again after that until August of the current year I'm writing this, 2026. I was looking through my library of games for something to play because I know I have a lot of games I've started but not finished. I noticed that this one had been lying idle in my library for a while, so I watched a Youtube video to remind myself of what happened in Chapter 1 (it had been four years, so I remembered very little about the game) and picked up where I left off. As of writing this I have just finished the game, and my goodness am I so glad I came back to it because contrary to my initial impression of it, this game is NOT boring. It does resemble a lot of other games, but does many interesting things to differentiate itself from its clear inspirations. The plot is very well thought out, and the story the game tells is meaningful and compelling, reaching a very emotional climax. Nice indie game. A bit short, lots of things left in mystery, but inriguing.

Looks like Ann, acts like Ann, but it's not Ann. It's a really nice game. No jumpscares, just the thrilling fear of the unknown that only psychological terror can offer. You should be done with it in a single afternoon.

Definitely a really good game. The chases could use some improvements, since they're buns, but other than that, it's a fun game, hence why i've played it for 5 hours LOL. I also loved the artstyle, it's simple, but that's what makes it good.
