Anna - Extended Edition

I walked into this abandoned sawmill thinking, "How scary could it possibly be?" Five minutes later, a random supernatural event happened out of absolutely nowhere...I nearly launched my keyboard into low Earth orbit. Every creak, whisper, shadow, and object moving on its own had me questioning whether my monitor was haunted or I was. This game doesn't rely on cheap explosions every five seconds—it slowly crawls into your head, rents an apartment, and starts paying property taxes. The atmosphere is suffocating. The story is mysterious. The sawmill itself feels like it wants you to leave... but is too polite to say it directly. At one point I was so startled that my pants declared a state of emergency, while my balls suddenly decided they also wanted to experience what having a heartbeat feels like. Thanks, Anna. Didn't know human anatomy could unlock DLC features. If you're looking for an action-packed horror game, look elsewhere. If you want a psychological horror experience that quietly convinces your brain someone is standing behind you every thirty seconds... Welcome to the sawmill. Bring fresh underwear.

I used to love this game. Tried to play again but now it has a launcher that is completely bugged out and doesn't work.

Needs second account on second system bleh.

Came back recently to play, turns out now you have to sign up for an Kalypso rubbish. I have never had to sign up before. Now I do, but I won't, so I've just got the RELOADE version from TPB instead. Delete this from your liberty and never worry again.

Anna: Extended Edition is definitely a mindbending experience to be had. It is a horror, puzzle themed game set within a beautiful landscape in the mountains. From when you first arrive you need to rack your head to solve puzzles with a decent amount of clues that lead you to solving the puzzle eventually. All the answers to every puzzle are given within the game through reading books or the journal although some may be more unconventional than others. When you first boot up the game however you need to register your email with some launcher, similar to EA, in order to even access the game which I dislike. However, once you're past that hurdle you have access to playing both the original version of Anna which is pretty rough and definitely harder than the extended edition. I recommend the playing the Extended Edition of the game because it feels much more polished than the original. The Extended edition has a more comprehensible storyline and feels all around better to play. The game even has multiple endings for you to explore when trying to figure out what the heck is going on. Overall, I recommend getting this game to experience it at least once.
