"Apples aren't what they seem" - a hilarious reference to Twin Peaks, which transforms this little game into a humorous parody of Lynch's universe. You find yourself on the outskirts of your house when, suddenly, you realize your TV is displaying an image of an apple. Upon going outside, you see another enormous apple in the sky. Curiously, the entire population is eager to eat this fruit, forgetting, if necessary, all their moral and ethical values in the process. The game is a point-and-click adventure with beautiful scenery using real images. You face enemies through a minigame in the best pinball style, which after a while becomes quite fun. A short experience, but with a peculiar universe, characters with well-crafted art, and subtle nuances of humor.30 found this helpful
APPLECALYPSE is the game that good enough for its price and can offer a truly unordinary gaming experience. this game definitely has memorable uncanny atmosphere. and its visual style is good afffff. but... i would say the game has a PROBLEM with item random generation. perhaps it was done specifically to higher the difficulty and stretch the playing time. but situations like "oh, i've hit 5 perfect combos in a row, but i havent got a single coin or bullet, so i have to restart, cause i know i need more than one or two apples to pass the second mutation" are still reallllly annoying. you should know this. anyway, 9 juicy apples/10 , just cause i've never thought that i'd like based-on-billiard game that much. AND my special thanks for adding such a large languages selection!!!3 found this helpful

The game has a great atmosphere and an interesting concept reminiscent of ParanoiaScape from PS1, but with billiards instead of pinball. Loved it very much, but after defeating Macarena, achievements stopped registering. Also, the boss battle with Gusana is broken, as I spent all 5 bullets on 1 jaw, and it still didn't open. Maybe I'm stupid, but no mechanic suggested any other solution. That's why not recommend right now review.2 found this helpful
The mood of this game is incredible. It's worth fighting against the game's 'combat' to enjoy it. The game is split in two primary sections, super brief point and click sections where you solve 1 puzzle to progress and the 'combat'.
The 'combat' is obtuse.
I feel this section explaining how the combat functions will give you a leg up over my own EXP, so if you want the dev's intended EXP, just go play. Otherwise...
You're feeding giant heads apples with the goal to get a meter to 100. Then phase 2 starts and you do it again. Every time an apple bounces off the edge of the screen, it increases the apple's total points, so an apple that's bounced 4 times will count for 5. If you're swift, you can get a combo bonus, after so many hits, a plus sign appears over the meter, and each additional plus sign is an extra point. So 3 bounces, with a combo addition of 2, will count for 6. At first I was frustrated. You never get enough apples to fill the meter twice. In order to get more apples, you need money by hitting coins on screen with your apples, and I felt like coins appearing was complete RNG. I guess it still sort of is, but having a combo with only a couple of …2 found this helpful
