About AREA MAN LIVES
AREA MAN LIVES. Or does he? If you could join a radio drama already in progress, talk to the characters and interact with the environments the story painted in your mind, you might find yourself in the world of the area man.
A quirky radio drama unfolds around you in VR while you do your best to keep the radio station humming along as its new DJ. You record commercials, interview callers and try your best to piece together how your actions inside the station impact your listening audience in scenarios so wild they can only live in your imagination.
If it all feels like too much, don’t worry, you’ll have your lonely producer, the resident skeptic, to guide you on your way, not to mention the vaguely British female voice inside your head.
When an unusual area man calls into the station asking for your help, you have to act fast. Will you trust the area man, or do your best to thwart his plans? Is there anything you can do to save the area man from himself?

A strange but fun game, can get fairly confusing at times. Area Man will die A LOT!! Parts can be confusing on what to do. Voice acting is super pro and very funny story. Not enough DJ and voice use. I wish there was a thumb in the middle option because this game is actually fun. But it is extremely confusing and difficult to play because of that. The concept of this game is amazing! But i wish it was a little more casual.. like job sim for example. I was expecting to play a relaxing game where i manage a small radio station while i sip on coffee you know? aside from it being confusing it is fun!1 found this helpful
I was psyched about the premise for this game: Total immersion as a radio DJ, as the game uses your voice as an input - However, after getting through the first episode, the narrative takes a strange turn and totally leaves you in the dark as to what you're supposed to do next, the mechanics get super-clunky, and the Quality-Of-Life updates are non-existent: just navigating between episodes and checkpoint is tedious... I wonder if "Killer Frequency" got it better, but I'm honestly afraid to give this setting a second try after this experience.
Good story game, but not my cup of tea for being VR. It's like the VR equivalent of an interactive Visual Novel. Would love to finish it, but every chapter just feels more tedious than the last.
this game just does not work >.< first someone talks to you and doesn't stop until your ears hurt (because the audio quality is to bad), then some more talking to you (I thought I was supposed to talk), then take calls and after a few calls, which were pretty uninteresting, nothing happens anymore. the call button is blinking but you can't push it. then I stopped playing. spend your money on something else
So I gave this game a fair shot and well. . . its just not fun. 90% of the time you just stand there doing nothing but listening, and waiting. then listening some more. Then you might push a button or put a certain record on and then you spend the next 10 minutes standing there listening to people talk. Not fun at all in my opinion.
