I love the concept but the game ends up being really annoying to play because of some shoddy design with tooltips and other related elements. Also, I do not believe the AI disclosure is accurate. Yes, players are certainly uploading material from various sources, but even the base cards provided from the developers appear to be AI generated.4 found this helpful
The disclosure mentions users may upload AI art. It makes no mention that the devs may use generated art themselves. Ariokan uses what looks suspiciously like generated video in its Legend cards, with some very non-sensical details. It uses art that looks generated in its tutorial, when providing random art for cards. The game is janky. It's slow to respond. The graphics in the The £25 game has microtransactions for online play. Yes, they added an offline mode and wield that as defense of the microtransactions, claiming they've 'removed them', but they're still there. This game isn't worth £25. Play Legends of Runeterra instead.3 found this helpful
Hello there, one of the beta-testers here. Ariokan is one of my favorite card-battler games. The advantage it has over Hearthstone is that (almost, if not) all the cards in the game are created in-game by players like you and me. 12/12. Actually, 14/12. Very recommended for lovers of card battles and detailed customization. The spell and minion card maker is top notch over that of Hearthstone's but Legendaries and Deities (Gods) are the rarest because of the uniqueness and/or cost of money it takes for these cards to make. Still enjoyable, even I made a Deity with my own money (Andrewius). I love the custom rules and the ability to choose AI's deck anytime in skirmish modes. Campaign is a good thing too. Ariokan's final score is 14/12. That means it is exceptionally good. So good I played for 912 hours and 48 minutes of pure fun creation and gameplays on Epic back when the game was in alpha/beta on Epic.2 found this helpful
As a LoR refugee I've installed demo and it was promising so I am giving Ariokan a trust creddit. I hope that this game will get enough funds to improve UI and make some not-AI cards art. I really like idea to create my own cards.2 found this helpful
If you has ever played TCG Card Game as like MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh!, pokemon, or something else, you should check this one. It's very unique game because you can make and choose your own card effect, which is different feature than any other one of the game i mentioned before, but bring us the same feeling when playing with it. The feeling on how to make a decisions, mastering the rules of the game, fresh gameplay because there always be new card in here, and playing it with ai or real person to test how well made your deck is. One of the reason you play this because you can make your own card, archetype, image, card lore, or even meta. you can also choose your own faction which is represent how your playstyle to play with (Because some card effect will be exclusive for some faction only). When i write this, i already make my own achetype deck when this game demo on steam and i satisfied for what i make. the deck that consistently spam minion while burn your opponent hp really fast. Even with 2 times health rules, the game can already over with just 3 or 4 turn. afterward when the games came out, some of the card get nerved and all card that i make get reset. but its not stopping me to ma…1 found this helpful
Fair Price that unlock all game content... you get 8 factions and faction less cards that fit in all decks. each 24 hours you get one free card pack, there are a weekly vault that unlock thursday with more free packs and cards, you also get starter quests with wild cards to forge cards and divine scrolls to make your own cards with own art and stats and abilities. gameplay is very fast and innovative, Developer its always active and if you check forum, they active there too. you can do daily quests playing against artificial intelligence for relax gameplay, players are very friendly, players and community. there are a roguelite mode also to play aside of the main deck duels. its very fun to create new cards that can have sinergies with Gods and Legends units, in example you can make a unit with lifesteal then you can play a vampire legend unit that get summoned when you do enough damage with lifesteal, another example you can make a unit that froze enemies then play it with the god that buff your units when enemies become frozen balance is very well done, its a work of love as there are not unbalanced cards... much work put in mana cost balance.1 found this helpful
