Ashes of the Union

This game is not bad. The problem is...it's not good either. But I will leave a positive review since it did make me spend over 30 hours on it for such a low price.. You drive...you die...you upgrade...you drive...you die...know what I mean? 6 / 10

I bought this game roughly a year ago because it looked genuinely interesting. Unfortunately, my experience since then has been mostly disappointing. When bought the game, it was impossible for me as well as many other people to progress beyond the tutorial because the game crashed every single time. It stayed like that for months. Eventually, the developers “fixed” the situation by rolling the game back to an older version. At least that version could actually be played, but waiting several months just to receive a rollback was already ridiculous. Now Update 10 has been released again. The game is no longer crashing constantly, but the update is so broken that the game is again unplayable. My current problems include: Destroying multiple Lairs does not award any Lair reports/data. The achievement for destroying a Lair does not unlock either. Because the required reports are not awarded, I cannot unlock certain Development upgrades. I had to manually edit my save file just to obtain an item that the game should have awarded normally. There are numerous graphical glitches especially with enemy models that stretch veritically all the way to the sky after death. Explosive weapons…

The main problem with this one is it is utterly broken if you have more than one monitor. The game ideally works with a mouse and keyboard, you can use a controller but it is inferior for the the gameplay. The problem is the mouse pointer is not locked to the game. There is a setting in the game that is supposed to do this, but it doesnt work. What this effectively means is that 9 times out of 10 when you go to push the left button to shoot, your mouse is actually over on your other monitor and instead of shooting you just fired up your word processor or loaded up your browers or discord. You either have to tightly focus on making sure your mouse never leaves the bounds of the screen or you can concentrate on playing the game. You cant do both. Just unplaybe as it is. If you have one monitor, what is here might be good, but I cant tell as every time I try to shoot something, somehing happens on the desktop instead. Мне понравилась игра. Да, она крашится периодически. И это ухудшает впечатление. Но прошел её с удовольствием. Надеюсь разрабы очнутся, пофиксят краш и игра заслуженно получит свои положительные оценки. P.S. Кстати, ребята, начните с того что клонируйте эвкип и тачку через CreateInstance, а не через new.
