Badlands Crew - Drive, Command, Conquer

This game is considered “abandoned.” What does that mean? In this case, it means that the game is fully released for a 1.0 release, but there will be no further content updates. But is that a bad thing? I had a lot of fun with this game. It’s way more involved than previous games in the crew series, with WAY more customization. I find myself remapping driving controls over camera controls, because I found that driving was far more important to manage. And it’s very fun. It’s your own personal Mad Max, with the occasional sandstorm. There is a story, and it’s completeable. The final boss is unique, and I find myself going back just to fight it again. I’d love for this game to get more updates, as it’s become one of my favorites, but that just isn’t in the cards. I’ve got a bunch of hours in this game, and I consider having got my money’s worth. Not every game has to have constant updates in order to be fun or for you to get your moneys worth. There was ONE mechanic that required online play, where you could summon a random players’ truck to help you out, and that’s no longer in due to the cut support. And that’s ok. First few hours a very fun but the game gets extremely boring after a few hours. Every mission is borderline the exact same and it just feels like a let down.

A fun pastime... very repetitive though. If you just feel like mindlessly driving and blowing stuff up, this is your thing. The jank isn't gamebreaking one way or another and feels understandable by the way the physics work. Maybe too much grind?
