✦ AI summary

Aussie Battle Tanks works reasonably well as a casual LAN or party game with friends, drawing nostalgic comparisons to classic desert combat games, but suffers from significant issues that have left it with a dead player base. The main problems players cite are oversized maps with poor spawn placement, game-breaking floor pits that trap players, lack of bot support, disconnection issues, and the absence of offline modes, making it nearly impossible to find matches in public servers. While some appreciate the game's potential and offer constructive feedback for improvements, the consensus is th

It's alright as a drinking lan/party game when I got a server up with 5 real players. But there's a huge flaw with Aussie Battle Tanks. The maps are too big and there's too many floor pits in *edit* Town Ruin map. If you get stuck in them, you would have to commit suicide to respawn. It doesn't help, the friendly fire option doesn't work when I tried it. If the dev added some close quarters maps, made the spawns closer to each other and perhaps add bots too, I'm sure the game will be fun to play. As it stands, it's pretty boring game and don't recommend anyone playing it. I'm pretty generous, I didn't refund my 1050 yen that I paid for this game at launch and mentioned positive and constructive criticism about Aussie Battler Tanks. Please don't hate me dev, I'm just trying help out u know. I'll revisit and consider changing this review if this game gets fixed properly.

A nice indy game, which reminds me a lot of the old LAN party days playing battlefield 1942 desert combat and battlefield vietnam. It has 3 modes that I tried - Deathmatch which is kind of uninteresting to me, Capture the flag, which had its moments, and Capture Point, which is the game style that really reminds me of the old Desert Combat game sessions with their expansive maps and outposts to capture or defend. The other player had some glitches where my tank was glitching, and subsequently was untargetable, and I am not entirely sure I like the idea of displaying the other players name in a giant banner over their tank - although it seemed to hide it out of line of sight. Its not as good as Battlefield Desert Combat, but if you have not played that game, and you like tanks, its good for reliving your lan party games with friends. Seems to suffer from a lack of regular players or servers at the time of this review however, so its definitely a play with friends sort of game at this point - especially given the free demo version appears capable of playing with retail players. Pros - Relive the old days of LAN party tank combat games - You get to drive tanks! - can host yo…

I think this Game is dead, I have logged on several times in the past few months, and haven't accidentally crossed paths with another player, so my re-review is now a thumbs down review, no player base = dead game.

I can't say this any simpler. There is nobody playing the game. I check every server, nothing, nobody. This is the problem I have with online games. I may love Destiny and Destiny 2, but they still possess the same problem. Being online only. This game is dead, and I never even got to play one game. May an offline mode so that people who buy this game can play it. Don't buy this unless you see reviews that it was updated to support offline mode.
