Game Features
Backdate Hero is a challenging 2D Rouge-lite action game. Like traditional Rouge-lite games, the game map will be randomly generated at the beginning of each game, and you will decide on your own way to promote the game. You can choose to face a strong enemy or switch a route. Meanwhile, the game focuses on the combination of weapons and props, and provides numbers of usable weapons and props. You can match them freely and choose your own unique fighting style. The combination of different props and buffs can usually produce different outstanding performance. Eventually, you will collect more props and become more powerful in the process of constantly exploring the map. What Steam players say

its not on the same level as lets say Deadcells but I like it a lot. Its a little challenging but it is set up in a way you can get past any enemies, etc by just thinking about it and not take damage. It has good metaprogression, plays well on the deck and think it was a value at it 2.49 sale price on steam, though I think its worth its full price also. Great game!2 found this helpful
A surprisingly great roguelite that deserves way more attention. If you want something in the vein of Dead Cells but easier, less grindy, and simply more chill to play, this is it. For the price of a coffee, it’s absolutely worth it. Good weapon, trinket and enemy variety (though less than Dead Cells), nice graphics, great music, solid level design, and well‑placed checkpoints. Meta progression is simple and satisfying. No parry, but you can pick up life‑steal during runs. In 13 hours I hit one major bug twice (getting stuck in the floor), and I found one broken combo that made the game even more fun. Beat the final boss on my second try using it. Finished the game in about 11 hours. I actually prefer this over Dead Cells: smaller, simpler, less polished but a very fun and relaxing alternative.
