Before I played Ballads and Romances, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
1 found this helpful
A short visual novel about the poet Adam Mickiewicz In the game you will be taken to 3 memories of the poet, and from there you can learn more about him, and at the end he will give you a simple quiz to see if you had paid attention hahaa The whole game takes about 20-30 minutes to finish The only complaint i have is that the screen loads in a different language, so i had to take time to find out where to change to english. Otherwise it's a good history-like game
It's a good novel but needs a rollback/backlog feature.
This kinetic VN is a tribute to a Polish poet's life, but its 20-minute playtime feels too short. Be aware that it lacks game-changing choices, unlike traditional VNs. With its original artwork & masterfully crafted dialogues, this game is a perfect match for literature and art enthusiasts. It is definitely worth playing, although it may not provide an over the edge experience.
So... I don't even really know where to start with this? It's not bad; but the translation definitely could have been better/more natural, and sometimes the dialogue was confusing (especially during the childhood memories part) given certain memories that played. The game didn't properly display who was and/or wasn't talking, and the shift between "narrator" and Adam himself were, at best, unclear, at worst just taking me completely out of the immersion/story. It's not something that will change your life, but the art is pretty and the music is okay, and the game is free so, if you are curious about this author's life, you may as well get it and play it. Personally my experienced was enhanced because I played it with a friend of mine who knows this guy's work pretty well, and we just laughed all the way through. Not bad, but not something I'd necessarily recommend to anyone, either. But it's good enough to warrant a positive review; it was fun! The added letters and stuff in the corner via the booklet was a nice touch. I am a bit disappointed in the fact I cannot see them all separately from the main menu, and instead have to replay all the memories and all.
