Bauble

Overview

Bauble is a real-time adventure strategy game about creatures on a planet where sentience is just emerging. You play as several small denizens with unique perspectives, learning for themselves what's friend and foe. Unbeknownst to them, this volatile planet teeming with life has attracted the attention of something far, far older.

Gameplay

You power up your character as you play (through upgrades called Ideas), fight enemies at a pace that rewards positioning over reflexes, and unlock different paths through the world depending on the choices you make.Combat is real-time but unhurried and enemies have readable behaviors. As you learn how creatures act, your in-game encyclopedia fills in, and a good plan of attack goes a long way.Between fights, you choose Ideas that occur to your critter. These aren't just stat boosts; they represent creatures gaining awareness of themselves and each other. The Ideas you take change how your character plays and which parts of the world open up to you. Two runs won't feel the same, and the differences go deeper than combat.
