About Roly Poly
This is an adventure and platforming game where you play as a Roly Poly. You know, one of those bugs you sometimes see outside, often when lifting up a rock? They might be regional or found all over the world?
Basically they're these insects that roll into a ball, it's literally all they're known for.
Game Features:
You will also learn interesting facts about these lovable lil guys. DID YOU KNOW that they eat heavy metals, removing them from damaging the environment? ..But they just release the metals back into the environment after some time... They temporarily help so that's good? Give the environment a little breather?
Birds and stuff eat them so they're a food supply but it's not like there's other bugs that can't be eaten.. They also damage crops which isn't a good thing...
But seriously you'd think that these bugs would have some kind of unique history or lore. There isn't a ton of information about them. Compare them to ladybugs who have several sections and cool facts about their history with Norse mythology and nursery rhymes.
Imagine being a roly poly finding out you're only known for rolling into balls and people can't even agree what to call you, roly polies, pillbugs, potato bugs? And you wonder why they roll into those balls, they're probably depressed.

- Discover the multiple mind-blowing endings, from maneuvering down Ribbit's Water Slide, to mastering the Bouncy Mushroom Forest, to enduring the terrible cave which houses unspeakable evil or maybe even collecting the rare gems to become the chosen one of the great Roly Poly prophecy that will bring you to a new plane of existence as told by the ancients.

So I only purchased this game to troll a friend in my activity feed, specifically because he spammed me with the woodlouse pictures of all things - conveniently followed by the release of this woodlouse game. And you might be questioning if spending $10.79 sarcastically was worth it, and I think I would agree with you, but luckily for me, the game is unironically not completely awful. The whole thing was actually kinda charming if you don't mind some crude 3D graphics, and don't get me wrong, it does not make the best first impression, but if you give it a chance, it's self-aware enough to make the experience enjoyable, there are a few really funny endings which I think salvaged this purchase. It's kind of a game where you look for secrets, hidden areas, obscured paths, and collecting various objects. I missed a few achievements but I was able to get all 4 endings in about 2 hours. That said, the game is artificially longer than it should be because the endings reset your progress, so there is no point in trying to collect everything in one run. On a side note, I think the game would be more enjoyable if your ball movement would allow you to travel faster, like a very weird Sonic …41 found this helpful

I love isopods, the first 30 minutes or so were very nice exploring. Liked the chuckling dialogue and hats. The physics however not sticking to angled wood, but deep mud were a bit sad it would have been great to like crawl onto big things. The tunnel was too dark gamma setting would be great. However i found myself a bit lost to where i had to go after visiting the three king or something and tried to push rocks up a ramp. the no 3/4 movement animation is a bit weird to get used to but overall what i expected. :) (IIIII){4 found this helpful

I was down for the concept, but the lack of a jump button turns me off
