Big Fish Legend is a simple 2D platform adventure that I ended up finding more enjoyable than I expected. I play as a little kitten who hears a story about a legendary fish that can only be caught by the strongest and bravest person, so I set off to find it. The game takes me through three different worlds, with tropical, snowy and desert areas, and the whole thing has a very old school platformer feel to it. It is not trying to be a huge RPG or some complicated adventure. I am mostly running, jumping, climbing, collecting things and dealing with whatever strange creature is in my way. The level variety is one of the better parts for me. There are more than 60 levels, and I am not just spending the entire game on dry land. There are sections where I am underwater, parts where I am moving through the air and even areas where I can use kamikaze birds to fly around. I also have to collect different artifacts to open up the next islands, so there is a bit more going on than simply reaching the exit of every stage. Not sure why this game is free, certainly lacks a bit of polish but I had a lot of fun platforming around. Give it a go!
