Bist Squad

Really solid gameplay loop for the price. I had fun trying to 100% the game but if you just want to finish the game and move on it takes about an hour.

I picked up Bist Squad after checking out the demo during one of the Steam Next Fests and really enjoyed it. So far I'm I'm really enjoying the full game! Yes, you can complete a run, probably on your first attempt, in under an hour as it's not especially long or too difficult. That said, I did my first run on normal, and now I'm having a blast going through on Hard using the other characters and trying to complete the collection. The graphics give strong Spectrum 16k vibes, which as someone who grew up with that and the C64 is perfect. likewise the music is simple but extremely catchy. In terms of Controls you can use keyboard or controller, but I personally find things a little easier to manage using a controller For those who haven't checked it out, the game takes places over a few floors of a randomly generated dungeon. In it, you can hatch an enrol “Bists”, little monsters that you can build up the stats of by feeding them different food items that you can find throughout the dungeon, or obtain from defeating enemy Bists. short little roguelike, i sadly dont see much replay value but it can pass the time and is fun if you like auto-battler esque games
