About Bitslap

Deep in the Andromeda galaxy, a lone warrior stands against an army of cubes. Due to quantum disturbances in the world line, cubes can only be destroyed in the order in which they appear. Armed with quick wits and glowing plasma fists, the warrior brings Interstellar Dance Platform BITSLAP to bear on his enemy.

Got it for cardio work in VR, while it is good for that it is deeply unengaging, feels like a chore to play and is dreadfully uninteresting. As a result I dont even use it for cardio anymore.

Runs fine on the Oculus Rift but I'm afraid my arms will fall off if I play too much

Game is not fun when focusing on score (misses are too punishing) - but if you come for exercise you may find this great. I usually just focus on number of waves cleared. That said, I've destroyed the insane leaderboard :P . At first I felt like it's expensive for the simple game it is - but it is fully worth it for me, I'm just wondering why there isn't a better game like this. In normal level you can't play so fast because you have to react where the cubes spawn, but after two days of play I got the hang of hard and I got sore muscles already. A few days later I got comfortable with the insane level, and there it is possible to move almost as fast as possible because we can look ahead and plan movements far enough that reaction time is no longer a bottleneck. I've made it my regular exercise now. One thing I hate is the scoring system. More often I got less than half of my top score because missing (esp. accidentally touching another cube) even just once is extremely punishing. When I play I just focus on clearing as many waves as possible, get in the "flow" and exercise, my heart rate goes above 150 according to YUR fit and I would sweat. This is now the only game I play on…

Great for a high intensity workout, it's a simple game but it's it's a fun way to exercise.

Very simple, but very hard. It's a great workout, but unless you love chasing high scores it's probably not for you. I mean, watch the trailer, that's what you get. That's all. If you're cool with that though, it's a nifty little workout that will break you.

Quite conflicted with the rating I should give this game. On one hand it's a very simple and fun VR game that puts your reflexes to the test while getting a good heart rate going as well (I play this game as a form of cardio tbh). On the other hand, the developers are anything but talented. The biggest issue I have is the lack of game room settings. Every time you load Bitslap it takes a minute or two to get going (I have a rtx2070 w/ intel 9th gen) AND THEN it faces the whole front of the game in some random ass direction in some random ass spot of your room with no way to correct this. You also can't pause the game once it's started or restart it or return to the menu screen. There's also no game modes besides normal, hard, and insane. Why not get a little creative? You could make a mode where you have to alternate hands, or have to hit blocks corresponding to your left and right hand. I mean there's so much extensible potential, with nothing to show for it. Oh yeah, I learned what "god rays" are after playing this game too. Another critique, when you get up to "insane" mode, it can be hard to know which blocks to hit next. Why not have the one you're supposed to hit next a littl…
