We dont have our own servers or matchmaking. You can join other player's servers or create your own servers using the Blackstorm Dedicated Server Tool and opening certain ports. You can find more information on the Tutorial section of the game.

Born as an university project, Blackstorm is an online multiplayer Battle Royale where players form crews of three pirates and face each other in deadly combat. Sail with your spaceship with 3-axis freedom of movement.
Sail, loot, customize your ship, shoot your cannons, board the enemy, sabotage their ship and destroy them. The last crew standing wins.
- Navigate. Pilot your ship with total freedom of movement and rotation. Creating a unique experience.
- Explore the Kraken Cluster and get ready for battle. Cooperate with your crew to search, pilot, and pick with the harpoon the best equipment for the battle.
- Configure your ship. Set up the cannons, manage consumables, activate the ship's shield, and install the ram. Transform your ship into a fearsome weapon.
- Fire the cannons. Your ship is equipped with six powerful cannons on the upper deck. In the front, the mighty P-Cannon -a two-pirate operated weapon- will aid you to bring destruction upon your enemies.
- Let's Board! Hit the enemy with your frontal ram. Hook them with the harpoon, and prevent them from escaping. Unsheathe your swords and jump to the enemy ship.
- Sabotage the enemy ship. Get into their ship, destroy or sabotage everything you find, render it unusable. If you are brave enough, overload their core, defend it and send them straight to the depths of space.

This game cannot be played as intended.[/quote] "Blackstorm" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from U-TAD. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. The students made a PvP arena that rips off the theme from Wizards of the Coast's Spelljammer property... basically sailing ships in space fighting each other. Графика, хоть и пиксельная, выполнена стильно и со вкусом, создавая мрачную атмосферу киберпанка. Геймплей простой в освоении, но сложный в мастерстве – быстрое перемещение и точная стрельба здесь жизненно необходимы. Особенно радует разнообразие оружия и апгрейдов, позволяющих кастомизировать своего персонажа под разные тактики. Уровни достаточно разнообразны, с секретами и альтернативными путями, что добавляет реиграбельности. Музыкальное сопровождение отлично дополняет атмосферу, создавая напряжённое ощущение борьбы за выживание. Из минусов могу отметить некоторую однообразность врагов и ограниченное количество сюжетных элементов. Однако, учитывая направленность игры на экшен, это не критично. В целом, Blackstorm - отличный выбор для любителей динамичных шутеров, желающих проверить свои навыки в напряжённой атмосфере киберпанка. Рекомендую!
