This game rolls roguelite and run and gunner into a tight experience with 1-4 couch co-op. Combine bullet powers found on the field to create unique bullet types. Dash to avoid attacks but also to crash enemies or deflect bullets.
Fight through randomised levels, challenge large bullet hell-like bosses and collect Red Eye Orbs to spend between attempts to permanently upgrade your abilities to help tip the tide and assist you in beating the game.Bullet Powers:Players can pick up a maximum of 3 bullet powers to create unique shooting effects. Find bullet powers dropped by destroyed enemies.
Randomised Levels:Players have 3 minutes to run down the snake winding levels before it starts exploding behind them! There are few detours, encouraging less exploration but more pace on running through the levels
Bosses:At the end of a set of biome levels there are bullet-hell like bosses to act as gatekeepers to further biomes.Enemies, Traps and Ambushes:On randomised levels, there are a number of enemies with unique fighting styles, traps such as mines and even ambushes where a unit of enemies will spawn around the players!Permanent Upgrades:Collect Red Eye Orbs and Crystals to purchase upgrades to your characters stats, unlock abilities and unlock shortcuts after defeating bosses. Do you purchasing at the hub world before jumping back into the action!
Temporary Upgrades:After each level, choose 1 of 3 randomly selected upgrades. These will disappear on death, so choose wisely!

Read the full review with accompanying screenshots here: https://playcritically.com/2025/10/21/blitz-smash-ultimate-review/ Blitz Smash Ultimate is an adequate top-down shooter that is eventually undermined by some fundamental design flaws. It nails its retro aesthetic, adorning the Other Dimension’s surfaces in sickly, candy-colored neon and bombarding my ears with a high-tempo chiptune track. While at first I am confused by a lack of twin-stick controls in a presentation that borrows from twin-stick conventions, I adjust quickly. I enjoy discovering the best combinations for upgrading Zealot’s gun and how to deal with the array of different enemies she encounters. It’s in its economy where Blitz Smash Ultimate begins to break down. There are no compelling choices to make between crystals and Red Eye Orbs since the two currencies are made interchangeable by a pivotal NPC. Once I’ve purchased every upgrade, there is no incentive to do anything in the Other Dimension except run to the next boss. I am entertained and charmed by Blitz Smash Ultimate in my first few hours with it. That’s all I expect from a videogame, especially from a low-budget indie like this. Blitz Smash Ultimate is a colorful action roguelite that embraces fast-paced arcade combat while layering in progression systems that encourage repeated playthroughs. Developed and published by Matt Concepts, the game follows Zealot as she ventures into the strange and vibrant Other Dimension in search of her missing brother, Solitude. While the narrative serves primarily as a backdrop for the action, it provides enough motivation to keep players pushing forward through increasingly dangerous areas filled with enemies, resources, and powerful bosses. At its core, Blitz Smash Ultimate focuses on fluid combat and constant movement. Players navigate procedurally generated stages while battling hordes of enemies that attack from multiple directions. Success depends heavily on mastering positioning and learning when to attack or evade. One of the most satisfying mechanics is the dash ability, which functions as more than a simple evasive move. It can be used offensively to cra…
