About Super Dash

A fast paced bullet hell where your ship doesn't shoot — you dash through enemies to destroy them. The game has a variety of power-ups, enemy types, and bosses that create interesting and distinct challenges when surviving through waves. The minimalist gameplay is easy to learn but hard to master.

Game Modes

  • Roguelike: Complete all levels, defeat enemies and *super bosses*, build your strategy by choosing and upgrading power ups. Your progress is reset on death, but your upgrades are kept.
  • Arcade Mode: Endless waves of enemies. Test your skills and see how far you can go.

Mechanics

  • Dash: Charge the dash and release to go forward and destroy enemies and bullets in the way. Hitting an enemy will extend your dash forward, get the right angle to destroy more enemies with a single dash.
  • Dash Canceling: You can cancel your dash midway to stop at a better position.
  • Power Ups: According to the game mode you selected it will be different how you select and upgrade power ups. Power ups have specific triggers, like number of kills or dash levels.
Power ups have specific triggers, like amount of kills or dash levels.
  • Dash Levels: Each level requires you to destroy an amount of enemies, starting with 2. If you do it, the dash level will increase and the amount of enemies to be destroyed too. Higher levels trigger stronger power ups.
  • Health Restoring: After getting hit you have a chance to restore your HP by completing the challenge. It can be something that will put you in more risk, so it your choice to do it.

Super Dash developed and published by Gustavo Passos is a tightly focused arcade roguelite that builds its entire identity around a single, clever idea: eliminating enemies not by shooting them, but by dashing straight through them. This inversion of the traditional bullet-hell formula immediately sets the tone for a game that prioritizes movement, timing, and spatial awareness over conventional offense, resulting in an experience that feels both fresh and mechanically precise. The core gameplay revolves around mastering the dash mechanic. Players control a small ship within confined arenas, navigating waves of enemies and dense patterns of projectiles. Instead of firing back, survival depends on charging and releasing a dash that slices through enemies while also clearing incoming threats. This creates a dynamic where offense and defense are unified into a single action. Success comes from understanding positioning—lining up multiple enemies, anticipating movement patterns, and committing to a dash at exactly the right moment. When executed well, the game flows smoothly, with one dash leading into another, creating a rhythm that feels both fast-paced and deliberate. What makes t…

fun game great concept and challenging and the roguelike choices add to replay-ability. only dislike is that it i would like mode for noobs who would like to play it more casually and just see all the different stages as the game becomes interesting the more levels deep you are. so like having a easy mode with like 5 lifes or something. nice sound fx and music. visuals offer good clarity. cannot open arcade mode on my linux OS. maybe its not available yet?

I have played a LOT of the itch.io free version, but I just recently got a computer, and this is the first game I buy and play on it. 1. The Gameplay The gameplay is very fast pased, and I see that there is a LOT more content in the steam version, so I will be happy to play more. 2. Artstlye Really hits home with the arcady neon vibe. 3. Sound design I say that this area is a little lacking, but still pretty good! The combo sounds for the dash are always great. The only problem I have is that the music kinda gets repeditve after about half an hour.

been loving this game even before its official release I have been playing this game on itch at school any time I got bored. one of my favorite roguelites and super satisfying. Thank you for this amazing game. One thing though is that one of the purple box enemy levels that spawn enemies is basically impossible because they fly around the map really fast and I don't think its intended for them to be that fast from what I remember from the demo.

Super Dash stands out from other roguelites I've played and I absolutely love it, even though its quite challenging. The vibrant colors make the game even better, giving a true arcade feel. Highly recommend.
