About Blockwick 2

Blockwick is a jumbled world full of colorful blocks. Connect all same-colored blocks on the board. Blue with blue, red with red, and so on. Don’t worry about the white crates though—they just get in the way.

If you get stuck on a puzzle, don’t fret. Just look for the hidden moon pearl. Finding the moon pearl in a puzzle will allow you to open the next puzzle.

The further you progress the more special blocks you’ll meet. Some are bolted down and are permanently stuck. Some blocks are asleep and can’t move until they’re woken up (set down a same-colored block next to it to wake it up). Entangled blocks are connected together by quantum forces—when one moves so do the others. Blocks that are entangled share the same symbol.

Eventually you’ll meet even more devious blocks. Sticky blocks are gooey and will stick to other blocks. You can't pick them up directly; they can only be pushed and pulled around with other blocks and crates. Caterpillar blocks are linked to each other like a train; they can only be moved with the head or the tail. Hypno blocks don’t need to be connected to solve a puzzle, but they’ll cause a lot of pain. The hypno puts any colored block to sleep if you set one down right next to it. Finally, flip blocks have six sides. When you move them, they flip to a different side, exposing a new color.

Oh, did you notice the strange glyphs on the ground? Each puzzle has three. Try to cover them all up with groups of linked blocks to master the puzzle. It’ll be more tricky, but it’s good for your brain.

That’s about it. Have fun!

Blockwick 2 is praised for its satisfying puzzle design that starts simple but develops meaningful depth through mechanics like rune coverage and varied block types, along with smooth controls and pleasant presentation. However, some players find the sticky block mechanic frustrating and feel that puzzle designs become messy and poorly thought-out as difficulty increases, which can diminish the experience partway through the game.

I was expecting a challenging puzzle game and Blockwick 2 did not disappoint me. Dragging colorful blocks to connect them by colors sounds easy. And it is indeed easy at the beginning. Also, I suppose it is fairy easy even later in the majority of levels is you play a relaxing mode of the game. Here comes the challenge. Every level includes 3 runes on the board that need to be covered by the colored blocks simultaneously with a solution giving 'illumination' effect. This way of solving is tricky and very satisfying. The appeareance of the game is nice. The colors are neatly chosen, music is okay. The various types of blocks are easily recognizable. The movement of blocks by mouse is incredibly smooth which is cool especially in levels with 'sticky' blocks - there is no feeling of being stuck or strained motion. I highly recommend Blockwick 2. It is demanding. It is satisfying. And even though it is a puzzle game, it is actually relaxing.

Blockwick 2 is a thoughtfully designed and surprisingly deep puzzle game that takes a familiar concept and expands it into something far richer and more rewarding than it initially appears. Developed and published by Kieffer Bros., the game builds upon classic sliding-block logic while layering in originality, elegance, and a remarkable amount of handcrafted content. At a glance, its bright colors and simple grids suggest a casual experience, but beneath that inviting surface lies a puzzle game that consistently challenges spatial reasoning, long-term planning, and creative problem-solving. The core objective in Blockwick 2 is deceptively simple: slide blocks around a grid until all blocks of the same color are touching one another. There are no timers, no move limits, and no pressure to perform quickly, which immediately establishes a relaxed and contemplative pace. Early puzzles ease players into this concept with small boards and clear solutions, allowing the rules to feel intuitive and approachable. However, as the game progresses, the puzzles steadily grow more intricate, demanding not only an understanding of block positioning but also foresight about how each move will casc…

Pooling blocks of same color together with the various obstacles. Each level adds a new twist. Enjoyed what I played - got tired in the middle of level VII. Might return some day.

Ehh, bought this on a whim because I was craving more of these sliding block puzzles & played through all of classic and about half of the actual game but the sticky block mechanic kinda just ruined it for me. Really frustrating and finnick mechanic that can actually lead to softlocks if you mess up certain puzzles in certain ways. And it's not like most of the puzzle designs feel all that clever - they're really messy most of the time with only the occasional puzzle that actually feels tightly and competently designed. Not the worst but I probably shouldn't have bought this in the first place lol. It's fine.
