About Brass

The only post office in a small village in the mountains, the main character of this story, Brass, works here. His job is to deliver letters and packages to the local people. One day, Brass receives a letter from his grandmother who lives in a town by the sea, and a new adventure begins.

A Peaceful, Cozy Adventure Game

The story progresses through conversations with the villagers and errands. There is no combat or intense action in this game. Please enjoy it in a relaxed atmosphere.

A Little Mystery

As you progress through the game, there are a few mysteries that call forth more mysteries. (Exaggerated?)What is the secret behind his father's death? A cursed forest?A secret underground facility?

Calm Background Music

The game features music by four composers: Tomás Palazzi, Svyatoslav Petrov, Josh Kashdan and Kyle Booth. All of the music was written exclusively for this game. Please play the demo version and listen to the music for yourself. All of the tracks are gentle and wonderful, and you'll want to listen to them over and over again.

Unique Characters and Animals

The main character, Brass, is a 14-year-old boy who has started working at the post office to help support his family. You'll also meet many other characters.

Scenery

The story takes place in a mountain village and a seaside town. Brass runs around in the cute isometric-ish sceneries.

Short experience and something better picked up during a sale if you’re in the mood for a relaxing, story-driven game without any real challenge. In this small indie game, you step into the shoes of Brass, a teenage boy living in a sleepy village. Brass lost his father a decade ago and is now left with his ailing sister and hardworking mother. To help his family — particularly to afford medicine for his sister — Brass spends his days delivering letters and packages to the villagers, many of whom are eager to chat and share their stories. The gameplay is extremely simple, focused almost entirely on running between characters and listening to their conversations. There are no complicated mechanics or side activities: you won’t find quest markers (except for exits, clearly marked with a large arrow), and there are no interactive elements outside of speaking to villagers and examining an occasional sign or object. Visually, the game is built from several small, single-screen locations with static cameras. The world is compact and unchanging — you’ll see everything on the screen at once, and even though the story progresses over several days, the settings remain static. Characters’ d…

A pleasant little adventure game, mostly a walking sim really. It generally has a very calm atmosphere, but near the end introduces a (rather silly) mystery with a (rather silly) plot twist, and ends abruptly soon after. That said, it's fun enough for what it is, even if "it" is not much. Still, I'd wait for a sale, especially if - like me - you have to pay ~150% of the original Japanese price due to regional pricing.
Objectively:
6/10

A story of family and community rebirth, tears streamed down my face. The main character Brass defends his mother and sister, his grandmother defends his father, his grandfather defends his grandmother..... Small days spun out for the sake of someone you love more than yourself create an inspiring rebirth. Isn't a perspective that recognizes diversity and community the story we need for the world of the future? Shouldn't we help each other when someone is in need, appreciate and love animals and other living creatures, love our families, our society, respect our bonds, and still be open to new experiences, expansion, and connections? Through Brass' perspective, I learned these important things again through this beautiful game ;) Thank you for the great creators involved!! Please experience and spread this excitement and wisdom!

cute little game with likeable characters. most of it consists of fetch quests and the last part is about finding your way through a maze and exploring some place (no spoilers). it has a surprise ending. the visuals were very appealing and the music and sound effects were quite good too.
