About Lake
Deliver mail through a scenic lakeside town while reconnecting with old friends and deciding whether to abandon your corporate career for small-town life. This story-driven exploration game ditches traditional goals in favor of letting you shape Meredith's relationships and ultimate choice through meaningful conversations and everyday moments.
During her two-week stay in beautiful Providence Oaks, Oregon, she runs into a few familiar faces as well as plenty of new folk. As Meredith, you get to decide who to talk to, who to befriend and perhaps even start a romantic relationship with.
Whatever happens, at the end of her stint she'll have to make up her mind: return to her demanding job in the big city, or stay in the town she grew up in?

Play Lake and…
- Escape to a beautiful, rustic environment without cellphones and the Internet.
- Drive around the lake in your dad's trusty mail truck, or let the auto-pilot do the work.
- Talk to a range of engaging characters, each with their own personalities and quirks.
- Choose after-work activities: hang out with your friends, help out your neighbours or stay home and read a book.
- Experience two weeks of branching story that doesn't shy away from slice-of-life themes.
- Determine your own story: there are no 'right' or 'wrong' answers or endings, simply what you want to happen.

I played the demo and got excited about this game. Delivering the mail and talking to the folks in a small town around a lake seemed like it would be quite a chill experience. Unfortunately, after playing through the full game, I can't recommend it. It's a good idea for a game, but it needs more work. Here are some examples: - The voice acting is good, but the writing... not so much. There are quite a few characters, but they're all very shallow. There's also a lack of humor. - There are many decisions, but almost none of them have any effect. Sometimes what happens afterward doesn't even match the choice you made. - The game doesn't live up to the "Story Rich" tag. Nothing really happens apart from a few decisions you make on the last day. - There are minor bugs, like subtitles not matching the dialogue. By the end, I also got a bit annoyed by the lack of an animation for getting in and out of the vehicle, which is simply replaced by a scene reload. - Depending on the lighting, the characters can often look eerie (including the protagonist). - The few radio songs were pretty good, but there weren't enough of them. Also, the characters' singing is kind of bad. - It's been called a…8 found this helpful
Worse than expected, to be honest. The game is lame, slow, uncanny, and unresponsive. The plot is boring and predictable . From the trailer, you would think this game is more, and it does not deliver , when you are playing , you hope it would be less . I don't think you can even call this slop or soulless, just call it bad.1 found this helpful
cute cozy little casual sim game. good characters and writing. could use a bit more QA though. end game dialog choices desynced with the audio some hitboxes were kinda jank
Cozy and slow paced!
Such a sweet and relaxing game. Amazing visuals and genuine characters that you get to know.
The walk speed is horrendously slow and frustrating. The main character doesn't feel like some one walking and its frustrating. I want to play and enjoy this game but when the walking is so slow that its frustating and not cozy it makes the game unplayable. I wish there was an option/ setting to increase the walk speed because I understand that its for the "cozy" factor to have slower game play but when it takes a minute to walk five steps its frustraning. and no longer cozy.
