About BreakHack
BreakHack is a casual roguelike intended to provide entertainment for 10-30 minutes when you are taking a break from anything else in your life.
It's easy to learn but hard to beat, no save games, no extra lives no fuss. Just enter the dungeon kill the monsters and get the loot.
Dungeons are procedurally generated on every playthrough. You will always get a unique new dungeon to explore every time you play.
Currently you can play as the Warrior or the Rogue who have different skills and play styles.
Once I get the time and there seems to be a demand (since I'm the only developer and I do this in my spare time) I will add additional playable classes to the game.

To be honest, this is the first true rogue-like that I have played. I previously never understood the draw to the genre, but since playing Break Hack, I am really enjoying it and will play others after this. This game is much more difficult than I expected. Perhaps difficult isn't the correct word..maybe unforgiving is better? There are holes and labrynths that you can fall (to death) in. Add some wind, traps, pyromancer fire to that and you have to be VERY careful which direction you move each play. Also, recalling which relics you have becomes important because your gameplay may change slightly (e.g. the shield). There is definitely strategy involved. There could be some things that, if implemented, would make this game just brutal. I am not going to say though! haha. One thing that I think would be great to have, but I am not sure if this is against the spirit of the genre, is a save/continue system. Not something that you could use to keep replaying loads, but something simple so you can put the game down and then come back to that playthrough. I definitely recommens and happy crawling!2 found this helpful
An absolute masterpiece of a game, I've sunk hours into this and expect thousands more.
Would rather play HyperRogue
