About Brush Burial: Gutter World

Caught in the mulching churn of a frontier world, Fennel, a devil flung far from home, cuts out a living from the cities and towns at the edge of the earth.
Master a suite of unique combat and movement techniques through use of your forked tail. Lose your way in the slithering guts of the colonial undercarriage. Make wealth out of misery.

Hard to recommend this one because of how short it is. The systems and level design are worthy of your time if you like immersive sims and stleath games but come on... One big level and 3 small ones ? I can't understand why the dev choosed to make multiple small games in this universe with this gameplay instead of a bigger one. I would rather pay double the price for a game with 4 big levels than this. I had so much fun with the first level, discovering every details and ways to complete and when I finaly got comfortable with the controls it was almost over and the rest of the game was not even close to the first level in term of quality. If it was another game I wouldn't even complain and I would just ask for a refund but not for this one. The level design is great, I love the esthetic, Controls are responsive and the feedback of takedowns feels great but in the end I'm just frustrated. I want more and unlocking the comestics is not enough. A lot of talent and care has been put into this game but it needed more development time to really shine.

I like the feel and vibe of this game a lot. The movement and finishers are very satisfying. I wish there was just a little more to do though, like two or three additional smaller levels, or some more main storyline lore.

Very cool aesthetics, an interesting world, and addicting gameplay. Achievements, outfit presets, and some other QoL features would be cool but it's a small project so it doesn't bother me any that they aren't present. Looking forward to the next installment.

A simple yet strangely addictive game. I describe it to people as being "like Hitman" since the goal is similar, but generally the game is difficult to describe through comparison. You're a creature that's gotta get a job done, and how you do it is up to you. There are medals for completing contracts in certain ways, which serve as good encouragement to try things differently and push yourself. It's subtle, but designed very well, elegantly even. It's like a little sandbox that lets you play how you want. Actually, I almost dropped the game after weakly completing each contract just 'cause "completing the level poorly" felt like enough at the time. Which is technically a valid way to play... You play until you're satisfied, after all. But the next day I just felt like picking it up again and trying a little harder. Soon enough, I was having lots of fun getting better and finding little tricks and backdoors in each level to improve my time and performance. Mastering each contract is very satisfying, because it involves learning as much about the level as possible and taking that knowledge into the next attempt. Very fun gameplay loop. The atmosphere and art direction is really…
