Cards of Eternity: The Wheel of Time

I wish I could like this game more, I love the setting and really enjoy card games so I'm definitely the target market for this but the utter lack of single player option makes this game unplayable to me. Legends of runeterra has a similar game but with an entire mode called path of champions. I get to scratch my card game itch without having to deal with some random asshat named saggy balls ruining my day. I encourage the developers to look into it.

The game was abandoned by the devs.

The fact that most of the card art (which is most likely AI anyway) is smooshed to fit in its frame should tell you about how much time thought they put into this. The game play feels like that too, so there's no way I'm paying in the hopes of getting a "better deck"

Sad, disappointing, a disgusting cash grab. As a sincere fan of WoT for over two decades, this is incredibly disappointing but not unexpected. The consistent mismanagement of the series IP by rights squatters has produced disappointment after bitter disappointment. If you're looking for a Wheel of Time videogame this isn't it. This is a shallow reskin of a mediocre card game designed to sell gross NFTs. Don't waste your money, don't waste your time. Go read the books instead you will be happier for it.

WOT is my favorite book series so I decided to try it out for about thirty minutes. 1. Game play UI looks likes a mashup from Gwent and Hearthstone. Way to busy without mouse over functionality for important information. Could be cleaned up significantly. 2. Seems like a dead game. No one in the casual queue at all. 3. Initial reward currency isn't even enough for a single pack. Pretty poor monetization design. You have to give up at least enough so that us poor's can get something together to keep a base of players available. If there's not even anyone in the casual new player queue there's no way your going to get me to spend any money. I play MTG Arena daily and haven't spent anything there (it goes to actual paper MTG cards) and have half a dozen respectable ranked queue playable decks. 4. The Tutorial game play seemed to be a Hearthstone clone with a slower mana crystal growth function. Hero power plus a little companion boost flourish. Maybe when this game comes out of early access I'll try it again when it's not dead. Otherwise what a waste of an IP.
