CastingPlz

"CastingPlz" is a poorly made, objectively failed 2D retro pixel top down co-op shooter. What do you do in the game? The gimmick in this shooter is that one player moves and the other player shoots. Is this a good idea? No. Is this fun? No. Is any of that enough to overcome the godawful pixelcrap "art"? No. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. It's a fun roguelike, and it looks nice visually. The death animation was heart wrenching. But it's pretty difficult. There are a lot of magic options that are given right at the start without getting to know the abilities. It also has some very glaring typos at the menu. If you learn the spells though, could be a really fun game.

Great game to play with a friend. Really fun gameplay and you could feel playing a co op game. Also too short need more of this <3

Just finished my first playtrough with a friend, might be one of the funniest game ever, the only thing is the remote play is a bit laggy for us but it doesn't stop me from playing it over again, I hope to see more from Ludens or even maybe seeing this game go viral and getting more added to, it would be amazing, great work.

Nice simple rogue game, not too hard to remap mouse and keyboard to play solo which is fun too, really wish there was more, i had a blast! I would pay a couple bucks for a longer, richer game.
