Champ's Nightmare is a horror audio game that is played entirely through sound with no visual input. The player must rely completely on their hearing to succeed. The objective of Champ's Nightmare is to avoid the monster, rescue the children, and escape the haunted cabin. The purpose of the game is to be fully accessible to visually impaired individuals.
Champ's Nightmare is very narrative focused, and the controls only uses the arrow keys, escape key, and enter/return key.

✦ AI summary
Players appreciate the game's unique audio-focused concept and free price point, noting it offers a refreshing take on gameplay that's accessible and low-risk. However, the navigation system draws consistent criticism, with many players frustrated by frequent wall collisions and inadequate audio cues to guide movement, suggesting the audio design needs significant refinement to make the core concept fully enjoyable.
I got about 10 mins in and found it kind of boring, only because the navigation is annoying. It would be nice to have more sound cues to help guide you along other than footsteps, footsteps, ouch-wall. This concept could be fun but it would need a lot of attention to the audio design. I see this must be a school project, and for what it is, I say congrats.11 found this helpful
Before I played Champ's Nightmare, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
A reasonable audiogame, any shortcomings can be overlooked due to the attractive price tag. Free. Wander around trying to make sense of the situation you have found yourself in after a minor prang in your car. It's all in the ears as you have to use audio cues to get your bearings. A good entry in to the world of audiogames as there is no risk, it's free, what's the worst that can happen? You don't like it uninstall and move along. You can play with your eyes shut, controls are via keyboard, nothing overly taxing. Worth every penny.
