About Lost in Blindness

Lost in Blindness is more than just a game, it is a whole new gaming experience!

Play as Alex, a young blind archeologist and follow the tracks left behind by the disappearance of the Mayan civilization! In this blind adventure game, discover an incredible 3D environment only by listening to the sounds around you, without using your eyes to see.

Explore a temple in the middle of the Amazonia and solve the puzzles that it hides. Thanks to a choice-based dialogue system, make your own decisions that will change the course of your story, to make it even more shocking!

And since adventure game should have it’s share of action and infiltration, watch your back… Because it seems that creatures and people don’t want you discovering the secrets protected by this temple!
But don’t worry, your friends are here to help you on your journey... at least... you think so...

Fellow Videomakers, thanks to our “Streamer Mode”, you can also share your experience with your audience, letting them see your actions and progression live while you are blindfolded!
Entertainment guaranteed!

Lost in Blindness is the promise of a game like you've never seen before!

So can this be played blindfolded? Well I'm blind and I can play it, so blindfolds would work. Whips, chains or whatever else you are into, you can test yourselves. This audiogame is great, the sounds are high quality and gameplay is good. There are few occasions where I got lost. There are additional options that are welcome, acheivements and a streamer setting. It is great that Indie game devs are releasing games of this nature, what could a AAA producer do? Will we ever find out? Until then well done and thanks to the devs. Hoping this is a big success. Visually Impaired gamers don't hesitate, and for everyone else give your eyes a rest and your ears a treat.

I really enjoyed playing Lost in Blindness, this is a great game: - The concept is very original: you play as blind character and hence must use your ears instead of your eyes - Before playing I was a bit afraid the game would be too hard, but it turned out to be very accessible - No bug encountered during my full playthrough and the voice acting is surprisingly pretty good for an indie game - I played with earphones without any problem (I did not have a headset) My final verdict: this is a hidden gem on steam, you should definitely give it a try.

I've been playing video games for 40 years and this was a truly original experience. The concept is simple: you navigate 'blind' and the end of each short chapter you get a visual representation of how you moved. It made me grateful to have sight. It also gave me a dozen ideas of products to help blind people out there. And it made me realize that no matter what headphones you have, unless they placed drivers at the front and back of the earcups you'll never have 'true' echo-location using stereo. But the purpose of a review is to establish if "this a good game". Sadly, it's extremely repetitive, and the gameplay is very far from perfect. For starters, the voice acting from the lead is very, very poor - a killer in a game that has no graphics to speak of. The supporting cast varies from solid (the ex-gf) to terrible or simply recycled (passer by, gangsters, etc). I'll add it to my group (the walking simulator fan club) because it's a genuinely interesting concept, but the reality is that by chapter 7, the novelty has run out, the (extremely) hard audio puzzle start (take 5 steps and you live, take 6 and you die type thing), and I didn't have the motivation to finish this - y…

Probably one of the most unique experiences I've had playing a game. I don't have any issues with vision impairment, but I still found myself having a lot of fun and immersing myself in this world and its puzzles. Some aspects of the game are a little rough, (mainly to do with half-explained game mechanics and iffy English voice acting) but I'd still highly recommend giving it a shot. If you're even somewhat interested, at least try the demo and see if it's something you'd want to purchase, because encouraging the production of games tailored specifically for people with disabilities is truly a wonderful thing.

This game is a work of art that I think should be more recognised. The having to play by sound and your decisions having meaning is great. The narrative of this amazing story is so well done it pulls you in and has you feeling what Alex would be feeling at that moment right along with him.
