Cute & free little title in the style of early lcd handheld games

There's a negative review on here that I genuinely cannot understand at all? For you to sit down and so negatively review a free game on steam in such a way. I decided to try this game out after getting my steam deck and I genuinely haven't been able to put it down at all!!! its so fun and addictive and so easy to pick up and play any time and anywhere! The music is delightful and the gameplay loop keeps you coming back from more. Bryce Hillard you have struck gold! Keep going!

"Charon's Crossing" is an unusual entry in Steam (but not a good one). It's basically a ripoff of the ancient 1980's LCD "Game and Watch" kids toys, a small liquid crystal display game that runs on watch batteries and features ultra simple score attack gameplay. This one carries an "underworld" theme where you ferry the dead people to their destinations. They died because they are really old because they remember "Game and Watch" games. What do you do in the game? You basically move a boat around a grid while looking at the really lazy retro "art". It's incredibly shallow. It's not 1983 anymore. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. The graphics here are particularly awful, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment.
