About Chimera Circuit
Splice Mythic Beasts. Conquer the Circuit. Bet and Win.
Overview
Chimera Circuit is a pixel-art tactical racing simulator set in a dark fantasy world inspired by 90s ASCII aesthetics. Splice two Chimeras together using over 100 unique chimeras from 10 Clades, each with distinct skills, as options. From EQUINE to SPECTRAL to UMA there is bound to be a Clade that resonates with you. Choose from four racer types—Front Runner, Stalker, Mid Pack, or Closer—to define your strategy. Creativity is rewarded with a total number of combinations reaching past 1,000,000, between game effects and visual style. Unlock new species through career racing, bet on outcomes, and dominate the track to build your legacy.Progress through a 12-month career, selecting runes after each race—some grant advantages, others impose penalties, adding rogue-like tension with limited lives. Shop for items, train stats, and splice retired chimeras from your pasture to create superior hybrids.Splicing
Forge chimeras by selecting parents from your unlocked codex or pasture. Genetics pull from grandparents: father's father determines the model, mother's mother sets the palette, grandmothers provide traits, and grandfathers define Clades. Basic splices yield G1 hybrids; But we can go further beyond. Save top performers to your pasture for future splicing, expanding your genetic arsenal. Try splicing two of the same Chimera, young Splicer.Intermission (Shop / Training / Betting)
Between races, manage your chimera during intermissions. Visit the shop to purchase items like syringes for extra training actions or bandages to heal injuries. Train to boost stats—SPD for velocity, STM for stamina regen, POW for collisions, TEC for terrain handling, WIL for resistance, POT for growth. Review racer stats and bet on favorites or win-place-show outcomes before selecting a track.Racing
Compete on dynamic tracks with varied terrain, weather, and times of day. Position updates in real-time on a grid-based course, with ranks shifting as chimeras overtake. Activate clade skills using stamina orbs—timing is critical for buffs, debuffs, or positioning. Finish first to earn dust (the currency of this world), trainings, and unlocks, advancing your career toward mastery.Filters

Cards on the table: This game isn't for me. No way in hell I'm giving it a No though. It's one of the strangest games I've seen, and that's saying a fair bit. It's a strangely deep horse racing sim... with lava flows, ghost storms, and gravel grounds. It has dinosaurs to mix with confused horses to create abominations... to race them. It's also got such screen options as "Ham Radio but visual" "Ham Radio that is almost dead" and "Oh this is just deep fried now." But it's also, 100% obviously: A labor of love that someone just had to get out in the world, and we're better for it. It's something unique and neat. Just because it's not what I go for doesn't mean I don't want a horse in the race.38 found this helpful
This is a really cool idea, but it's currently a buggy mess that needs a lot of work. The game soft-locked when one of the horses broke through the inner wall & got stuck in the centre area, preventing the race from finishing. Best of luck to the developer, I hope they keep going because I really want to see what this game can become with more work put into it.8 found this helpful
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIHSOKv85JY **I have issues with this as you see in the video and below, but still recomend as I see the potential and people liking this sort of game. Just because it wasn't for me does not mean it's a bad game.** I initially was sold on the idea of capturing criptids/creatures and breeding them. I didnt care much for the racing aspect, but appreciated it over the monster battles popularize by Pokemon. Well, this wasn't quite what I expected. You get a run down of what to do at the very start, then you're left on your own. I felt it didn't really go over more than stats, the cage. and betting. I went in unaware about how items activated, unsure on skill activation, if you catch more than one monster per cage (I caught two with one cage during a season), and other things that affect the racing element of the title. The tiny gothic font is rough as hell to read during the new RC Pro-Am style race track too. And then there's the placement. The race visuals can show you in first ahead of the pack, you cross the line, then suddenly you drop to fourth, The only thing that matters is the top right. So the main aspect ends up pure rng that doesnt even li…4 found this helpful
