About Choo Choo Boom Boom
Welcome to Operation Choo Choo Boom Boom, Rookie!
Our island city is home to millions of people, and it's our job to protect it from the menacing alien figure, The Hand.Alongside conductor Marco and engineer Jessi, You're role in this scraped-together military operation is to take on the role of the gunner. In this (very literal) on-rails shooter, you'll ride head-first into battle with three guns and one goal: Save the city we call home!Give it your best, and stop at nothing until your home is safe from this otherworldly creature!Features:
- TRAINS! Our city has infrastructure supporting a rollercoaster of a train track, allowing you to explore the highs and lows of the city. Follow where it leads you, or switch tracks to an alternative route! Both options have their pros and cons; switch it up and see what route leads you to victory.- GUNS!! You can switch between three different guns to shoot with. The light cannon offers a high rate of fire, but lower damage. the heavy cannon does more damage and can break stronger attacks from The Hand, at the cost of a slower rate of fire. Lastly, the BFRG (a very, very big rail gun) will clear all projectiles and do massive damage! This gun charges up as you do damage with your other guns, and can only be used in certain situations. Keep it charged and save it for life-or-death moments against The Hand!- HIGH SCORES!!! Compete against your friends and random strangers on the internet, to get the highest possible score! Gain points for shooting The Hand, projectiles and attacks, objects all around the city. Build your combo multiplier by landing successful shots without taking damage. Try finding the tracks that give you the most points, and get good at shooting those rings out of the sky! What Steam players say

saying most student projects are trash, while true, wouldn't be completely fair, as most professional and amateur attempts, paid or otherwise, are subpar at best too. this is a short and simple railshooter released on pc, they only had to make sure the cursor moves well enough and clicking shoots. well... the game doesn't have mouse support. let that sink in. not only is it a pc game, so by default it should have mouse controls at least in the menus, depending on what kinda game it is, but it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ move the crosshair around and shoot stuff game and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mouse doesn't work. only wasd to navigate the menu, arrows won't do, so non-qwerty people can join mouse people on the bench. they went with a retro look, fine on paper, but not when some of the text is this hard to read. there are settings, surprising at this point, but the font choice there was unfortunate, too pixely. separate volumes aren't separate enough, can't adjust speech on its own. auto fire toggle, on by default but it definitely doesn't fire automatically. maybe it lets you sit on the fire button or something. rumble setting, don't have a controller, didn't do anything. reticule sensi…3 found this helpful
Fun and challenging rail shooter. Have not played one in a long time so it was a nice change of pace. The tunnel scene is great.3 found this helpful
Great On Rails Shooter, with an early 90's arcade feel to it. A short fun free game.2 found this helpful
cool ass game
Played one game and lost. Will go back to finish the game. I've read somewhere reviews with bad sentiments. I don't know why, this game is awesome (and unlike the warning in the start you can play with mouse and keyboard). This is totally a game I would play 30 years ago at the arcade if it was an arcade machine. What's not to love in a wacky on-rails shooter againt a giant hand that looks like it was imported directly from a sketchy Japanese importer? The game should get more tracktion for the name alone. All in all, a bit confusing at first, surely I'll beat it tomorrow :)
