About ChronoTecture: The Eprologue

ChronoTecture Game Studio presents an indie video game created by an architectural designer.

After losing his cat Mobiius to lifelong illness, a father sees him again in a brief Dream. The father then designs and builds a device called The DreamCatcher, which allows him to induce a Lucid Dream at will. When the father finally sees Mobiius again in the Dream World, the DreamCatcher glitches and the father becomes trapped in the Dream World against his will. The only way forward for the father is as a guide for Mobiius as he goes through his Final Dream.

Mobiius' Final Dream has him challenged with defeating the nefarious Devilopers, who are harvesting planets of their resources for a mysterious project that could change Existence. Mobiius and his Father must work together to stop the Devilopers, or their destruction could have devastating consequences beyond the Dream World...

Discover the secrets of Life, Death, and Dreams as you face your hopes and fears! Featuring gameplay with futuristic archery, time-control, exploration, and platforming.

*This game serves as an introduction to a larger planned trilogy, therefore the main story can be completed in a few hours. The Eprologue introduces you to this unique world, its lore, and gameplay mechanics. There is also a lot of re-playability with fun gameplay, beautiful visuals, and the Speedrun challenge that requires strategy and precision control to conquer.

TL;DR Not for $10, but on sale, sure. World design is nice, if a bit small; the love put into structure design is readily apparent. Grand, cozy, warm, cold & more are effortlessly communicated through the architecture & design of the world's structures. I appreciated how possible it was to go almost anywhere and on top of anything. Movement's good; it's really hard to get stuck on world geometry; input response is tight & prompt. Combat's fine. Enemy movement is rather stiff, but passable for a game where that's not the focus. Noticed a couple of bugs: 1. One of the star fragments counts for 2 in your little counter on the bottom-left corner of the screen. You wind up with 8/7 fragments by game's end. Doesn't affect completing the game, thankfully. 2. Upon completion of the game I was given the achievements for beating it in under 70 and 30 minutes. As evidenced by my playtime (I've played the game through once, as of now), this could not be correct. I did manually save at some point not far from game's end; maybe it reset the play clock then? There are other little things that make the game not quite as polished as it could be (the game keeps playing the walking or sprinting an…
