About Connie and the Essence of Chaos
Connie and the Essence of Chaos is an upcoming indie 2D platformer. It's inspired by some of my favourite 2D platformers. In this game you control our limbless hero Connie and her spirit friend Plum on their quest to defeat Lucilate, an evil overlord who has taken over the island of Cuisinia. Explore a whimsical world, free every imprisoned essence spirit, unlock new powers and beat up a bunch of terrifying foes! I'm still working on the game but I'm hoping to release it in 2026. In the meantime you can add it to your WISHLIST and follow UPDATES I will be posting here, on my website and on Youtube. You can find the link to my website on the side of the store page.

connie is bouncy and peppy. the inspiration is clear, and while you can absolutely feel it (especially in the difficulty!) it's a fantastic time. it absolutely manages to be its own thing and stand solid on its own. some solid levels. great controls. the game looks fantastic visually and uses colors incredibly well. it's a good time and i think you should pick it up!5 found this helpful
I love Rayman 1 inspired games! I love the silly cartoon-ish sound effects! I love that objects, enemies and plants have eyes that stare at you! I love the creative thematic fantastic worlds! Great game, Ryemanni is always great, and this is my favourite original game by them so far. Looking forward to their next projects and games!5 found this helpful
Connie is the "Thinking Man's" game. During the intense plot, I couldn't help but ask, "Would Connie beat in God's dome with a Rock on the moon if given a chance?" and "Could Connie Un-Society if given reason?" Deep stuff. Philosophical. Stuff Plato would go, "Hmmm" at. The slight nuances and juxtapositions takes with it's level designs and abilities really leads to some great moments and deep reflection. The music as well, is something that resonates deep within your primordial form, etching it's rhythm into your very soul. The art style reminds me of some of the earlier works of "Katsushika Hokusai" before he sold out in 1810; refreshing, vibrant, and full of complex depth. Give this game a chance, at the least you can play the demo for it. You'll enjoy it, I would even go so far as to say it'll change your life, change your perspective, maybe even save your marriage.4 found this helpful
From what I've played so far, this is a really fun game, especially if you're a fan of the Rayman games or 2D platformers in general. A must play if you played the original Rayman game!1 found this helpful
I mean I knew that this gonna be one of my best games of the year, but I didn't expect to play it so soon! This is a true Rayman 1 successor, and you just feel how many passion and work Ryemanni put on this project. It was honor for me, that I could support this one and can't wait to see more!
This game is wonderful so far! I will give my full thoughts when I finish it <3
