A basic arcade game for gamers that miss the early days of video games. The developer specializes in creating simple arcade games that appear and play like they were created during the early days of video games. This one's no different. The game includes shattering falling bricks with your character. The mechanic is extremely limiting, as you can only move between three positions: left, right, and center. It does not matter if the block falls on your head or if you move into it as it descends. However, you can block only when the brick is above your shoulders. If it’s below, you’ll lose a life. The game ends when you lose all three lives. The only thing to remember is that instead of going through the middle position when moving from left to right or right to left, you can push into a wall and quickly appear on the opposite side. After breaking a certain amount of bricks, you level up and receive more points for each brick. However, this increases the number and speed with which bricks fall. In Cracker, a good strategy to win is to only make one move whether it's to the left the right or onto the other side of the screen. It's also all about the power up drops which can greatly assist you. I've only got up to the second character after catching 10 cubes. The cubes drop so infrequently though. Very challenging game, and after a good run, I feel like my brain is scrambled, but in a good way. The high scores from other players are astronomical, so I'm assuming they have acquired the highest character after a few hours. Don't give up in the beginning. If you're not into challenging addictive games, this may not be for you. I love Cracker, especially the 55 powerup drop which is featured in the video above.
