About Amicade
Amicade is a nostalgic trip to the arcades, where you'll find three Score Attack games with online Leaderboards - all set to Free Play!
These games were originally made within 24 hours each, using various assets for graphics and sound, then later combined into this arcade collection. As a big fan of classic games from the Atari to the Amiga, this was a ton of fun to make!
The included games are:
Smash the asteroids that are hurtling towards your base! Big asteroids are slower but do more damage, and split apart to shower you with trouble. Your ship is safe, but if your base takes enough damage, it's game over.
Steer your fish to avoid hungry sharks and belligerent fish. You can eat any fish smaller than you - eat enough to grow in size! Fish the same size or larger will kill you, so watch out until you grow to MAX size when you can eat everything but the sharks. Remember to dash out of trouble!
Hit the slopes, but watch out for the giant snowballs rolling across the piste! Aim between the flags to avoid a time penalty, although just touching them is usually enough. Learn the best routes to get the best time!

Amicade is a retro arcade game. This game copies three classic Intellivision games: Skiing, Shark! Shark! and Astrosmash. Skiing is... a skiing game where you have to go down as fast as possible to the end, avoiding multiple obstacles. Shark! Shark! is a game where you have to eat smaller fishes until you grow and can eat progressively bigger fishes (that remain smaller than you and sharks always kill you). Astrosmash is an asteroid defense game. Shark 'Park' is very fun and relaxing, enjoyable and the controls are responsive. Astro Clash is okay, it gets hard really quickly until there's just too many asteroids to defends and the controls are fine. My gripe is with Ski Fall, wow that one is just... so bad! The snowballs are mostly random and you have to restart around half of your runs just because it's possible to go between the first flags without being hit by the very first snowball. There are so many of them and combined with the need to take every ramps at certain angles not to miss flags, you eventually just end up eating one in the face and getting slowed down immensely. It seems like only 50 people or so managed to get a gold medal on this specific game, which took me…1 found this helpful

This game deserves all the hate it gets.
"Amicade" is a collection of three arcade games, well, more like early "home PC" games re-made with Unity and it's not a great experience. We've got "Ski Fall", a ripoff of a game that was somewhat of a predecessor to SkiFree, an "endless skiier" avoidance game. We've got Astro Clash, a hybrid Space Invaders game with elements of Asteroids, done with rather poor low quality assets (but probably not an asset flip, the game assets look too poor for any professional asset creator to publish), and finally Shark Park, a much simpler game (a ripoff of Feeding Frenzy from Popcap), click on fish to grow bigger, but once more with those amateurish assets. The graphics aren't great, home-made stuff, but at least it's not minimalist pixelcrap. Not winning any awards, and I've seen far worst, but also far from the best of the 130,000+ games we have to choose from here on Steam. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than …
