About Darkestville Castle

Welcome to Darkestville. A place where people scream, demons laugh, and being evil is not only encouraged — it’s mandatory.Meet Cid.
  • Professional tormentor.
  • Certified menace.
  • Local legend.
For years, everything was going great: villagers suffered, Cid thrived, balance was maintained. Then some idiot named Dan Teapot hired demon hunters. Now Cid is banished, annoyed, and ready to ruin absolutely everyone’s day.Darkestville is a classic point-and-click adventure where you don’t save the world — you make it worse. Lie. Manipulate. Solve puzzles (yes, you’ll actually have to think).  Deal with ridiculous characters. Break things. Fix them. Break them again. All in the name of evil.Inspired by the golden age of adventure games, Darkestville delivers sharp writing, dark humor, and just enough cruelty to keep things interesting. Because let’s be honest — being the hero is overrated. Be worse.

Key Features

  • Play as the villain (finally)
  • Dark humor that absolutely does not behave itself
  • Clever puzzles that will make you feel smart (eventually)
  • A world full of idiots, victims, and future regrets
  • Zero moral responsibility
Rule Darkestville. Or at least make it suffer.P.S. Also, by purchasing this game, you are supporting a noble cause. Part of your money will be used to enslave mankind… sorry… to clean the seas from pollution, create a sanctuary for the only Endangered Invisible Flamingo on this planet, and other kinds of noble-sounding lies.

Funny so far! XD However, I have a wish to be implemented in the settings. I have normal sight, but it is hard to read thin font texts with very little contrast. Please add this function, then I can continue and enjoy the game more. Because of this, I give 3/5 stars, because this setting should be easy to implement.

Excellent classic point and click adventure game. Comparable to the Monkey Island series, with a bit simpler graphics and humor, but a great story, characters and music. Highly recommended. :)

Wow, this was hard to give it a thumbs up or down, but overall it's more on the negative side for me. Let's start with what i liked - the graphics are nice, animations are smooth, voice acting is OK, the main character is annoying, but likeable and some of the jokes are funny and the story is - while very cliché - OK. Let's see the problems from smaller to bigger ones: - music - a lot of Monkey Island rip-off. It runs even when there's a loud radio in the scene, so you have the game music, the music from the radio AND a dialogue. brilliant. - many characters feel very undeveloped or underutilized. They are there for a single puzzle and some conversation, but they don't feel real characters, just mechanics to move forward with your puzzles. - interactivity - OK, so i have 3 verbs to choose from, but the game rarely gives context specific responses for things i'm trying. Even seemingly logical combination of items or trying to talk with inanimate objects give the standard "you can't do that" responses. No hints, no acknowledgement that the idea might have made sense in another universe or anything. - the dialogues. They are long. Everything we learn about Cid is not by SHOWING, bu…

Fun classic vibe PnC with all the things. Interface is good on deck. Nothing bad to say.
