Diesel Punch is a very low quality Russian shovelware third person brawler/platformer. I don't think this is an asset flip based on the very low quality of assets, but that doesn't mean it's by any means a great game, from the lacklustre controls, sluggish handling, aforementioned low quality assets... this is just Russian shovelware. A minimum viable product dumped quickly onto Steam as a cash grab, to get as many rubles as they can. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. The game is very badly optimised, despi…3 found this helpful
Diesel Punch is an indie third-person action game developed and published by Vadd Games that blends gritty dieselpunk aesthetics with straightforward melee-driven combat. Set in an alternate-history world locked in a prolonged industrial war, the game introduces players to Eva, a former engineer who has merged her body with diesel-powered machinery to become a one-woman weapon. This fusion of human and engine forms the foundation of both the gameplay and the narrative, creating a dystopian atmosphere where technology and survival are inseparably intertwined. The story unfolds against the backdrop of a failing nation struggling to maintain dominance in a brutal conflict. As enemy forces adopt advanced diesel technology, Eva is deployed to infiltrate hostile territories, retrieve critical components, and dismantle increasingly dangerous mechanical adversaries. The narrative framing, while not overly complex, provides sufficient motivation for the relentless combat. Between missions, story segments offer glimpses into Eva’s perspective and the deteriorating state of her world, grounding the action in a larger political and emotional context. Combat is the centerpiece of Diesel Punch…1 found this helpful
This is upper case trash. You can't unpause, get rewards for anything and the movement is broken. If you like the story and the artstyle and buy this game, you will have to put up with a lot of game breaking issues, normaly fixed in developement. And then the music, there is no slider and it sound like something straight of ncs or royality free... I'm sure the dev didn't even played it. The bugs and glitches are obvious: camera glitches through objects, inputs are registered wrong on not at all, the dash activates at random times, falling through the ground, respawn can gamebreak you by putting you outside of appearing walls, more than three enemies and fast movement lag the game, countdown ends after 1.0 and shows 0.60, got (gamebreaking) stuck in a loading screen because you can move. At least it's not a hentai game right? Just google it...
Not bad for what it is. Loved the art style. Morbid ending though.
your game are great environment and game play are simple but fun but it was a had problem of abandon forest level the metal wall it was not breakable that it what my complain i hope you fix this bug. good job
I never got past the forest level. The fact that you get sent back to the beginning on death, and that one dumb platforming section exists, is ridiculous. That being said, everything preceding was fun, and I think this game really has potential. Besides, for a dollar, I don't see a problem with a little entertainment and supporting a new dev.
