About Discontinue

Discontinue is a unique competitive Virtual Reality (VR) Arcade game. The ultimate disc throwing video game experience. With a retro neon game style also called Synthwave or cyberpunk style. Your goal is to survive in a world of obstacles, where you are welcomed as its champion. As you move through this world, you will encounter all kinds of hexagons, which can be helpful or injurious.

The world consists of more than a thousand levels (a.k.a. parkour's), each generated through a seed which you can share with a friend or a foe to compete for the high score. Adding to the replayability.

Every seed generates a unique parkour by combining various handcrafted phases. These phases are displayed as tunnels or arenas and are seamlessly connected in many different orders and variations. All to create fast action paced gameplay mixed with more relaxed puzzle-like or transitional phases.

Tunnels are all about dodging and speed, whilst in the arenas you focus on standing your ground and defeating all obstacles in your way.

The various phases combined are designed to provide a rich and impactful sci-fi experience full of new VR action.

Game provided via the Steam Curator program. Discontinue is a VR arcade game. I believe the game draws inspiration from Tron. However I am unable to enjoy the game at all: - Game mechanics make no sense to me. - Physics are not matching your real world movements and this just kills the gameplay. - Boring, repetitive and lacking anything substantial. I cannot recommend the game. I had no fun playing it.

The lack of Windows Mixed Reality support makes th throwing mechanic in this game completely unusable, therefore cannot recommend for WMR users AT ALL!

Okay guys, here is my review: Graphics: 3/5 stars. Gameplay: 2/5 stars. Cardio: 1/5 stars. Immersion: 5/5 stars. You wonder, why 5 stars in immersion, if everything else is so low right? Well its the truth, when you are inside you feel like you are in tron 1982. The gameplay is a little boring, but the feeling is so retro! sometimes i just play the game to feel that retro feeling, like im inside a 1982 simulation, for that its amazing! Gameplay is just throwing some random disks to some random turrets..., you have to dodge the hits from the turrets, and hit them with your disks, also hit the towers to clean space. I would say its a casual game, but i have it and i DO play it once in a while, and thats something that its positive, i have a lot of games in my library and i dont visit all of them, discontinue, is one of the ones that i visit often. Works fine with LIV. If you want me to review games or play/test VR games come to my twitch channel kittinaphoenix
