About Dotakawa☆COOKING BATTLE

------------------------------This game was developed as part of new employee training at Byking Inc.Depending on your PC environment, you may experience some issues or bugs during play.We ask for your kind understanding should you encounter any such issues. This game is made for Local-Play,but online multiplayer is available via Steam Remote Play Together.*This is a competitive game for 1 to 4 players.*Multiplayer mode is only available with controllers. Mouse-and-keyboard is not supported.*A controller is required for each player. The game is made for Local-Play.------------------------------Your first thought at seeing this game might be, 'Just like a typical cooking game'...but the real battle lies behind the cooking...and the frying pan behind your back...

■Hectic sabotage action

Whacking others with a pan to steal their stuff,or swiping their food while they’re looking the other way. It’s like a battle royale, right in the middle of class!Do whatever it takes to win! There's no right or wrong! All is fair in cook-and-war!!

■Whack them! Before they snitch!

If your under-handed actions are seen by other students, they'll rush to tell the teacher. And if you don't stop them...a "stunning" bolt of justice will strike, costing you precious bento-time!To prevent this we'll need them to forget what they've witnessed...So chase them with your frying pan, and go right for the head! Instant memory-loss!

■Surprisingly deep strategy!?

Just whacking others won't help you win the game. You'll have to cook, to steal, to attack, and balance multiple tasks in order to get ahead of the other players.Or...perhaps keeping a low, pacifist profile is also a viable strategy...?The way of the violent pan, or the path of peaceful cooking...To win by force, or by diligent skill...the choice is yours.

Dotakawa☆COOKING BATTLE is one of those games that sounds like a normal cooking game until I actually start playing it and realize I am also supposed to whack everyone with a frying pan. I honestly loved how ridiculous the whole idea is. I am racing around a classroom style arena trying to gather ingredients, cook them and complete my bento while also deciding whether I want to play nicely or cause complete chaos. The main goal is simple. I need to collect the ingredients for my bento, prepare them and finish as many meals as possible before the time runs out. What makes it interesting is that everyone is competing for the same resources, so stealing food or attacking another player can give me an advantage. I liked that this creates constant little decisions about whether I should focus on cooking or risk wasting time trying to interfere with someone else. The frying pan is easily the funniest mechanic. I can hit another player and steal what they are carrying, which turns an ordinary cooking race into something much more aggressive. There is also a witness system where students can see me behaving badly and report me, causing a punishment to interrupt my progress. I really enjo…

Cute lil' game about making bentos, and inflicting head trauma with cast iron pans! Make as many bento boxes as possible before time runs out. There's only 4 ingredients, which have to be prepared before being boxed. if someone is carrying what you need, you can smack 'em upside the head and steal it! You absolutely NEED a controller for this tho, pc controls barely work. It's designed for multiplayer, but I dunno if remote play works or if you have to do local. There's not a whole lot to this, the single player experience is kinda lacking, and it needed a bigger variety of ingredients... ...but if you can find a few bored weeb friends who would be into a game about making bento boxes, you'll probably have a fun couple of playthroughs! ...tho you'll probably spend more time beating each other to death than cooking.
