About Epic Card Game
✦ AI summary
Epic is a fast-paced fantasy card game where you eliminate opponents by reducing their health from 30 to 0 using champion cards and game-changing events. With unlimited copies of every card available and the ability to play powerful cards from turn one, Epic delivers strategic depth without the grind of chasing rare pulls.
Epic Card Game is a fast-paced card game of fantasy combat designed by Hall of Fame Magic players Rob Dougherty and Darwin Kastle. It has all the amazing game play and beautiful art of a digital trading card game, but instead of having to chase down hard-to-find cards with each set release, you get unlimited copies of every card!
In Epic, each player starts the game with a score of 30 health. Your goal is to eliminate your opponents by reducing their health to 0.
You start the game with a hand of five cards, and draw a new card at the start of your turn. Your cards represent powerful champions that will fight for you or game changing events you can use to thwart your opponent.
Each turn every player in the game gets one "gold." Some cards cost a gold to play, others are free. This means you can play any card in your hand from the very first turn. There is no slow building of resources in this game. Epic starts at full throttle!
The four colors of Epic cards each represent a different alignment. Yellow is Good, red is Evil, blue is Sage, and green is Wild. Each alignment has its own strengths and weaknesses. You can play cards of any and all colors in your deck. If you can match colors, your cards will frequently get more powerful.

This deserves to be the most popular customizable card game in the world, both for the clever game design and for the fact that YOU CAN USE EVERY CARD IN THE GAME RIGHT FROM THE START, FOR FREE. That said, in order to fully enjoy it, those coming from other customizable card games will need to unlearn some habits as they adapt to this game's unique design choices, but it's very much worth the effort.
Damn. This game is pretty fun. Takes a second to get used to the simulator, but I've ordered the whole physical set for this game. Breath of fresh air.
Free offline card game with multiple play modes and fully voice narrated story mode with two different difficulties. The card art looks good too. It's a bit too slow for me personally even with the animation speed turned all the way up. But you might enjoy checking it out!
Very fun fast paced and enjoyable card game. Being free is an icing on the cake, more people should try this game :)
Not recommended but more middle thumb than down thumb. This game plays the Epic Card Game fine. It is more a mobile app ported to Steam than the other way around (despite the fact that it was developed for Steam first). It has a campaign that puts a very light wrapper around a series of 15 matches where you are not able to customize your deck. They have two difficulties. It took around 5 hours to play through both levels. The story's only job is to resolve your last opponent and introduce your next one. The Epic Card Game itself is pretty fun to play with for a bit, but this game plays a lot better in paper with real people where you can do drafts and other formats. It's a fine enough game but the Steam version has no soul. If you have 5 hours and want to try the game, the campaign is fine. The vs AI is also fine but you will have figured out the AI's tendencies by then which starts to trivialize the game.
