most underrated card game. it solves so many frustrations and problems, but unlucky hearthstone Wow nostalgia is stronger than good mechanics and engine. devs did good job with this piece

OK the mechanics are sound but execution is abysmal! First, you get a random collection of cards with no theme or synergy. As you complete the missions, you collect more cards with no theme or synergy, compounding the problem. As you get more cards that is just a bunch of eclectic garbage, the computer will increase its deck synergy. You fight an uphill battle that is a cliff, forcing you to either spend money on more random cards or spend a small fortune on the cards you think you want. OR play for a long time learning deck combos you will only attain through spending money. Either way spend money or quit. Which is mostly the latter, You can try pvp but there are days in between meeting other players, its dead. Their mission is to make money, not provide entertainment while making money. Just stupid gimics that work in the short run but players quit, regretting have spent the money on a company that only cares about the "bottom line"

The game is solid. balance in the most important thing in a card game, and here is done well, unfortunately it isnt updated in years, and there's only 3 sets of cards active, there's about 20/25 decks buildable as of today, with about 4/5 decks meta. It's very good for free to players cause advancement is consistent, and rewarding if you play everyday. is this better than magic the gathering arena? I think yes, if you are f2p, no if you are a payer, why? because in arena the matchmaking is rigged, the opponent matching is not random, your deck shuffling is not random, and in many games it's planned that you will lose (in case you get matched against a payer). is this better than earthstone? absolutely yes. im assuming the devs are working on other projects now, but i wish they could move their ass and come back for a new set... it's about time guys

Awesome card game! I highly recommend checking it out. You get a nicely illustrated tutorial-campaign to learn the ropes and after that you can already start making your first decks and get into some constructed games. Special props to the variety and intelligence of the computer-opponents. Had many close games and quite a few fun losses. The game is full of smart choices when it comes to building decks, crafting cards, the UI in general and matchmaking. When you enter the PVP Constructed queue, you get an AI opponent after a short time if there aren't any other players waiting for a game. These will count for PVP dailys and towards the (free) battlepass-tasks where you can earn more currency and cards. The cards themselves hit a sweetspot of being diverse and interesting without being overly convoluted. There is a nice amount of cards to collect. They have really cool illustrations and go for a mix between mythology/fantasy and modern real-life. Love the setting! Sadly it was too hard to find this game on steam. I think many people would enjoy it a lot and I hope it doesn't shut down.

I signed up to this game to play 2v2 and I was disappointed to find that it had been removed so I am uninstalling.

Mythgard feels like a smart card game that deserved more oxygen. Recommended if you like tactical CCGs with strong card design, clean core gameplay, and systems that try to solve problems instead of copying the usual formula. Not recommended if you need a heavily supported live-service game, a large active scene, or a card game that stays simple once the board gets busy. What it is: A fantasy-cyberpunk digital card game built around lane combat, card cycling for resources, and board spaces that can become meaningful over time. What it nails: The cards are designed well, and the basic gameplay is straightforward in a good way. Mythgard’s best idea is that it makes the board matter. You are not just playing stats onto a table. You are fighting over lanes, positioning, resources, and long-term board texture. The resource system is also strong. Having to cycle cards for mana gives you more control than pure card draw luck, while still forcing real decisions about what you can afford to give up now for a better turn later.
