I'll list pros and cons, but ultimately for me it's rather a "no". PROS: Intresting mechanics (once you somehow understand them). Intresting retro design and sound. Great price (almost free). Someone who loves torture may find difficulty appealing. CONS: Hard. No tutorials. Dead community. It's as close to being truly "retro" as it ever gets. Want to solve a Rubik's Cube? Either you do it yourself or "no good, get good". Almost all discussion info about the game is outdated past the last rebalance patch of 2020. Developer is dead. Their most recent game was never released. Reaching all achievements is either extremely hard or impossible (again, no guarantee the game is beatable after the last patch). I could reach level 40 after 5 hours of trying (~7% of players did this).3 found this helpful
Very polished and minimalistic little TD game, the novel twist of freeform tower placement which modifies the enemies path makes forward planning a big deal. You can employ strategies such as placing high-damage towers in areas which enemies will have to pass through multiple times, forcing enemies to backtrack through twisting corridors of damage tower, etc.2 found this helpful
The UI looks neat, but is a pain to use. There's little tolerance for mistakes. Luckily, it's a lot of fun trying different strategies. Tiny changes can make a huge difference. I've failed every attempt for two hours now, and I just want to keep trying.1 found this helpful

An excellent use of $1. Perfect in Simplicity
Minimal tower defense banger. Cannot recommend highly enough, if you're into that sort of thing.
